Sparrow Hill stack
After beating last years dirtworks time by 2 hours, I was looking forward to similar improvements at the doctor, fling, fat tyre festival, jetblack 12, corc 24 and mont 24....
Not to be however.
During a fairly social lap of Sparrow Hill on Saturday morning, a simple front wheel washout combined with an uncharacteristically rocky landing zone conspired to bugger up my next year of biking activities.

First Ride in a Month!
For various reasons I haven't ridden for a month, and in all that time swimming a few laps on one occasion is the only exercise I've put in. Oh dear, oh dear.
Well, it's a nice day so just went for a gentle trundle around the streets I usually commute on and managed 23km, 500-ish vertical in about 75 mins. OMG, what a disgrace! In summer I was doing over 30km and twice the vertical on the commute home in maybe 15 mins more. That said, I was taking it very easy today.
Now all the trails have to do is dry out and can do some real riding

Menai action 060609
This was our 5th ride of Menai. Gradually building the confidence and skill set required to make the most of the challenging terrain. Confident that we could finally follow in the tracks of those that ride this trail the way it was intended..........

Slow first race
First race back at Ourimbah for some time, top fun as always up there. Little slow but plenty of room for improvement

Time to get back on the bike
Hmmmm just got back into Sydney after two weeks of booze, eating, partying and little sleep in Macau and Hong Kong.
Bike has still not been washed from the Dirtworks and had to go out a belt notch.
Time to get back on the bike
Update 11/06/09: Rode into work today. Boy am I unfit now. Ride time was about 10min more but more importantly I felt buggered! If only it wasn't so cold. My toes, ears and fingers are still defrosting

Great race
My first solo here and my first race in B grade. Loved it, what a place. The track is amazing at the moment.
I'll be back for round 5 and a top ten finish goal!

As mentioned last night Bermagui
Bermagui MTB park was tonights destination and what a great little trail . Its just over 6.5 k's and it is almost 100% single track a little bit techy and if you aint puffin like and old bugger you aren't trying . There are five good honest climbs which , for someone who did 22.5 k's at Sparrow last night , just about stopped me in my tracks as my little legs hurt like hell . Luckily for me the rain came and made the descision to do more laps on hold until tomorrow morning , when hopefully i will manage to get two laps in before i have to bugger off to work

Sparrow Hill
What can i say ....Sparrow Hill just under two hours to do two laps of the hybrid blue and red lap .
22.50 k's of super smooth single track What a blast . I was the only person in the forrest tonight but it didnt matter i went as hard as my body would go and Damn that is fun ....Bobsled what a hoot .. i could have kept going all night but the Mont coffee van wasn't there and my tummy got a tad hungry too
Now for Bermagui tomorrow night ....
