hour and half late for start:(
Had to show up at a party on FR night (good it was) and overslept, got a bit lost on the way there,... jadajadajada jumped on my bike 1.5hour after start. Liked the track, and laid back atmosphere!! Lost 3 teeth on my middle ring in the first lap:( Riding on the big guy for 6 hours, then a little granny took over. Also, haven't had my light fully recharged, so guess what - pitch black no warning, bit of a tumble in the woods, but I deserved it. Luckily had my spare light that got me through the rest of the evening. Loved every minute of it!!

Majura Pines
I also managed to get to Majura last night for about an hour and a half of some pretty cool trails , quite literally , it was getting bloody cold by the end of the ride but it must have taken an hour to wipe the stupid grin from my face and i just wanted to ride some more but my stomach didnt agree so back to my motel for some kangaroo for dinner yum !!!!.
What a week Sparrow Hill two hours for both Monday and Tuesday nights an Hour at Wagga's Parmigana park and Majura Pines last night for a total ride time of over six hours and 70 ks of The Sweetest single track around

social 100 - only way go go!
What a sensational weekend!
I had the best time the whole time – starting with Greg letting me know he was excited so what time would I be ready to get picked up? We met with Sam at Hornsby where I left Sean and Greg and defected to Sams hoon mobile... People were calling and texting to say they had left home and it was all just great!
We had lunch at the pub on the Saturday where we ran into Ladytoast and Kat and the greatest concern for the afternoon was whether Greg and I would start on the beers too early and over indulge – we did not I am proud to report!

First 100km - Awesome
The Weekend started when I met up with Pikey and Christine for the ride up to St Albans. Avery relaxed Saturday for me, and I think being with the Nobmob crew took my mind off competing in my first 100km race which really helped. Ate well on Saturday with a steak sandwich washed down with beer at the pub for lunch, followed by a couple more beers and Blondie's amazing beef strog for dinner. with the race in mind I pulled the pin and headed down to where I was staying with Critty and Ladytoast just over the road in a comfy B&B for a good night's rest.

Another tedious night alone in the forest !!!
Well once again i had a spare two hours to kill , and what better way to do it than at Sparrow hill AGAIN !!! This time i had the whole forest to myself .....not really lonely ....no friends ....bad deodorant .....just the thought of my poor wife at home with three kids and nobody to help .....

Lucky last Nobmobie... I had the best time!!!
Stopped to smell the roses (and the dust) and admire the view...

What a Blast
Got to St. Albans just after lunch with Alex and set up camp in perfect weather, plenty of others were turning up also and it wasn't long before we did some carbo loading, I was quite happy with last years race time of 5h 27m (1 flat) so I didn't want to change too much.
Went to bed about 11:20 for a rather restless 3 1/2 hours sleep and up at 5am keen to get started, it was so much nicer without the freezing temps of last year.

Great day
Awoke to find that it was somewhat warmer than the 6 degrees last year so put on just arm warmers and my sealskinz socks plus usual kit. Big bowl of cereal and then a 500ml can of "Mother" with 160mg of caffeine and 200 calories in the car on the drive to St Albans from the Rosevale caravan park units near Wisemans.

Great day
What a terrific day!
Arrived early for rego on my first big organized XC race not really knowing what to expect. Nervously lined up with the first wave with the hazy strategy of hanging on with them if I could and just seeing what happened. This worked out OK until the big hill, which I walked along with pretty much everyone else. After the hill I found it hard to maintain the pace and was being passed a bit. Found my legs again after abt 25 km and it was all good from there. How much fun was that downhill!!!!

Where to begin, I picked up Gary about 1.30pm Saturday afternoon and it was cruisy traffic free drive to Wiseman’s Ferry and then straight onto the ferry. We arrived at the church mid-afternoon and started to enjoy the warmth, serenity, good company, Christine’s special Strog and a few beers (John I think 8 is the magic number of beers).
