First SS team race
Well what a great race & my First 24hr on an Single Speed. We arrived around midday Friday set up camp quickly then headed to rego, to see if we could change are team members around as we had decided a few day before to enter a SS team for fun. Well the Girl at rego was very accommodating & quickly changed it all around & then we where set. We headed out for a few laps, & realized that my head set had shit its self, thankfully the onsite mechanics where able to fix it. So now I was ready.

Big Balls!
Team NobMob Big Test Icicles at the Mont - we had a (big) ball!
A picture says a thousand words:

Fun at the bird 24hr
Todd (Todd took Shawn’s place as Shawn was really sick), Gav, Alex and I had a great fun and some trouble as well during this 24hr
First the track was just great and perfect to work on your cornering…I realized how bad I was at cornering when on Friday afternoon we went to ride the course …I was behind the boys and then after a corner lost some ground on them so I needed to pedal harder to get back on their tail….If I didn’t pedal I would have lost them….

Mont 2009- So good!
First of all.....best 24hr race I've done so far!

24 hours of heaven, hell and everything in between
What a weekend, and in my opinion the best 24hr race ever, on the best course of flowing fast tacky singletrack. Our team, Mixed Nuts was ade up of Steve01, Gazza, Martine and myself (Whisperer), and contested the mixed 40+ fours.
It was great to be in amongst a huge NobMob contingent, with the spirits running high.

Sparrow Rocks Robin
As others have already said this race completely rocked!
Gazza, Martine & I arrived to talcum powder dust on the roads and drove around in circles for a while before locating camp NoBMoB. It was a nice evening at this point and setup camp quickly. Annoyed to have left a cool bag at home (downstairs in the carpark - a bit stinky upon return on Sunday) sat down to other snacks for dinner and placed a shopping order with the incoming Buck & Gary (thanks for obliging guys).

JetBlack MTB101
Went down to Nowra to do the inaugural JetBlack MTB101 which was about 100km of all single track, the track was good fun with some techy bits over rocks. The event was well organised and run by elite energy.
Many people pulled out before the finish as it was tempting being a 7 lap race, each time you passed the start finish. A lot of people on Farkin thought it was too hard being all single track but I preferred it to courses with a lot of fire road and paddocks to cross.

Sparrow Hill and Stromlo TRAINING RUN !!!!!
This ride turned out to be a great ride for training on long hilly fireroads as i got .... a little lost . i dont know how but i ended up next to the railway line at one point and with the pioneer spirit ....ok , with luck i found a fireroad through the guts of the place which had a huge hill that went forever and eventually rejoined the trail network and i continued on my merry way . And yes the Kangaroos were my only company untill i got back to the carpark , it was pretty full for a monday night and most there were just touching up , like me , on their Mont training .

Jetblack Enduro Grips?
The Rush got that long awaited (well - 3 weeks it's waited anyhow) work yesterday. As well as sorting the brakes (now feel tops, but have left the lever reach a bit too far out) and a few other little jobs we (my mechanic and I) put on some new Jetblack Enduro grips.
I'd had a slight issue with binding of bolts on the ODI lock ons and we had to take a Dremel cutting disc to one of them to remove it!

WSMTB XC Round 1 - C Grade
My first WSMTB XC race, and it won't be the last.
