2008 Highland Fling
Ferndale Oval, Bundanoon (see event website for details).
The VAUDE Highland Fling is a mountain bike marathon to challenge you all. It offers a scenic and challenging route through forests and farmland in the Southern Highlands of NSW. A mix of singletrack, forest tracks, dirt road and less than 2km of blacktop.Do the Full Fling (approx 110km), the Half Fling (approx 55km), the relay Flinging Threesomes or take an even bigger challenge on the 100 Mile Fling!
The main race is on Sunday 9 November but there's plenty happening on Saturday 8 too, including the Bundanoon Dash, a fundraising 6km 'sprint' race (it's not compulsory!).
In 2008 we will also introduce the Casual Fling, a 16km ride for those feeling not up to the Half or Full Fling.

Pikey, leaving about midday Saturday can you save me a spot for my tent say 5m * 5m - happy to share a tent again if you like.
I'm also planning to buy food although I'm bringing creamy rice, etc.
Can you gentlemen be so kind as to reserve me a spot.
I will sleeping in the back of the car

I'll be leaving northern syd at 1.30pm, expect to be there around 4-4.30.
Have a regular 2 man tent.
Anyone need a lift?
I'll be at Belrose, going along Monavale/Ryde rd, the M2 then south, but can vary it if needed.

I have no Homebrew left!! did not get a chance to make more, been out bike riding to much.....
may have to buy a six pack of Koenigs Pilsner, Bitburger (Greg's favourite) Fuerstenberger, Memminger and so on, all German Beers are good!!!

I'll be there with Deb. Camping with a crowd of casual flingers and riding the half Fling at an easyish pace with Deb and another female friend. It would be good to catch up for a Saturday evening beer.

Hi guys, I've finally got myself an entry to the Half Fling just to realize that the registration is only on Saturday. Without accommodation and not keen on going there just to register on Saturday, does anyone know if it is possible to register for/as someone else?

I got to the finish just as the presentation stuff started and missed a bit of the banter. I caught something about there being a screw up with the timing and results. Can anyone shed any light ? Any idea when results will be posted ? ( I recall Dirtworks and Doctor results being up pretty much the next day..)
