Group Training
Sat AM ride: Duckholes/Salvation/Towler's Bay/Centre Track
Terrey Hills shops / Fire brigade car park
Late notice: I'm going with a mate for a Sat Morning loop of Duckholes, Towlers Bay, Salvation, Centre
Come along for a normal paced ride starting with Duckholes track, moving on to Towlers Bay for some decents and climbs and scenery; and a bit of Salvation track on the way back via Centre Track.
The more the merrier; come along to enjoy the last days of warm weather...
Mt Annan - Training
There's a small parking area on Caley Drive next to the trail head. This is approximately 2.1km South from the larger road junction (circle) at Mt Annan Drive and approximately 1.4km South of the main car park.
Their address is Mount Annan Drive, Mount Annan NSW 2567. See:
Very last minute but it's probably the only dry place I can think of. I have never been there but planning on doing laps for some sore of training for Dirtworks. SMS me if you can join me.
GNR on Easter Monday
Wisemans Ferry - by the East ferry crossing (turn right bottom of the hill). There is a good parking area by the kiosk here.
As discussed.
GNR Training ride before the DW, a great opportunity to scout some of the course before the DW in particular some of the techy descents down Shepards Gulley.
Meeting at 9.30am, I can make it later if people wish, just thought that might be a decentish time, not to early, not to late.
Cancelled - Probably To Wet
Although we don't normally ride this trail on it's own, with a bit of road work it makes a nice loop from Terrey Hills shops (on Booralie Road) then onto Centre Track and back along the road to the shops.
That's the same as the more standard Terrey Hills rides.
This is a training ride the pace will be moderate with no stopping.
I intend to do Duck, Centre and finish with the Long out and back so in other words a nice solid night ride which should take just under two hours.
You will need some lights.
Nice Long Ride
Glenbrook station carpark.
One of my favourites - The Oaks plus detour up to Hazelbrook and then back down.
This is a long and steady training ride I am not that fit at the moment so the pace will be easy enough but with no stopping (its training not a social gathering).
Duck, Centre & Long - Friday

This was such a nice way to finish the week and start the weekend I think I might make this a regular outing.
Need to get some time on the dirt under lights for the upcoming Mont and Solo Nationals so a bit of Friday night riding is the go.
This is a training ride with the emphasis more on ride (it is not a race, smash fest or a chance to post a hot lap) the pace hopefully will be moderate with no stopping.

Yes you will need some lights.

Epic Garigal Training Ride
Corner Warringah Rd and Forest Way, Frenchs Forest, south end of the pedestrian bridge
A 60-70km training ride in preparation for the Willo & Mont.
Takes in some really sweet technical single track, double track and fire road, tied together by a few road sections.
Start at Forest Way, and enter Red Hill at the top via Brooker Avenue (Beacon Hill). This takes us in at the top, and gives a decent run down to the rim trail. Round the Rim, and back onto the main loop, where we continue round and drop down to Wakehurst Parkway at the pumping station.
Wingello
4Km SW of Wingello village on Caoura Rd there's a small base camp within the forest - seems as good a place as any.
Back to Wingello on Sunday.
There is a few of us going down there, and the focus is to work on finding some speed through the singletrack sections. Not so much fireroad smashing this time.
We'll probably ride the red loop twice through, and be hitting a few sections really fast. Something like 4 or 5 x 5mins efforts through the singletrack.
Its still gonna be a swift ride overall. Happy for people to come along and work on polishing the skills a bit....
If you are worried about pace, flick me a pm.
