It's On
Manly Dam on Sunday
King Street (near corner with Arana Street), Manly Vale. You know - outside Manly Hydraulics Lab.
Time to get the fitness up again...and blow out the cobwebs!
I'm doing a couple of easy Manly Dam laps with 2 mates. Come along - the more the merrier!
See you on Sunday 11:30 am at the Hydro Lab.
Cheers, Hans

Happiness is a warm shock...
2010 Highland Fling
hayman and Ferndale Road, Bundanoon, New South Wales
You know... the fling. 110Km around Penrose & Wingello State Forests.
Don't forget the Dash on the Saturday night.. it's a riot
Super Easy Terrey Hills
Park opposite/beside Terrey Hills shops, corner Booralie Rd/Yulong Ave. Or in the small carpark next to the RFS station & community centre.
Well, would you look at that. The sun is shining and the trails are (hopefully) drying out nicely.
At last!
Come for a gentle spin of Terrey Hills P+L (that's Perimeter & Long). Cowan track will be thrown in if there is demand. Feel free to ride Duck Hole & Centre before/after
Here's hoping for some great winter sunshine
Duck + Centre
Although we don't normally ride this trail on it's own, with a bit of road work it makes a nice loop from Terrey Hills shops (on Booralie Road) then onto Centre Track and back along the road to the shops.
That's the same as the more standard Terrey Hills rides.
Doing Duck + Centre. Will decide at the end of Centre whether we do it in reverse as it might be just too cold. Either way I'm just happy to be getting out on the trails
Friday freeloaders!
There's a car park (click for foggy picture) on Springwood Road - just down the way from Hawkesbury Heights if you're looking for a suburb name.
Anyone freeloading on friday and interested to heading out to Yarramundi, I'll be there. The forecast has shown very little real rain fall in the area and not a lot expected this week, maybe the odd shower and friday to be sunny! I'll keep an eye over it the rest of the week.
Just going to string a few loops together over the course of an hour or two, just bike time before next weeks Rocky Trial 4hr!
Sunday noon: Duckholes / Centre ride
Terrey Hills Shops
We're doing an easy Terrey Hills (Duckholes Centre) cruise with 2 mates, starting at 12:00 (noon) from Terrey Hills shops.
Stuart (Dibbler) will meet us there too. (this ride was changed from Cascades - now all are in the loop)
Come along...the more the merrier...
Rgds, Hans

This is a trail maintenance day at Royal National Park.
If you are interested in helping out please contact the rangers via email or phone for more details and to confirm your attendance:

Orimbah for the ones who have had a few weeks off the bike due to rain
Enter via Red Hill Rd, Ourimbah State Forest. On your right will be 'TreeTops' for the kids and it's large-ish carpark. Carry on past there and the first small clearing which is were parking used to be, and is where the 'Browns' single track turns (you might see riders on your left here).
Parking and official trail head is now designated a further 350m or so up the road where a there is a larger area. There's a CCOMTB sign here by the trail entrance (on the left as you drive up). Park up nose to curb or as directed.
Due to all the wet whether and other commitments if have been off my bike for about a month or so and want to ease back into it with one of my favorate trails. This is not for beginners even though its mostly ridable, there are some long down hill sections and i only really want to be waiting at the top of hill (or people waiting for me at the top of hills).
Plan on doing 2 laps and time will tell if i can get a 3rd in.
Duck Holes / Centre / Perimeter and Long trails Social / Easy Training Ride
Park opposite/beside Terrey Hills shops, corner Booralie Rd/Yulong Ave. Or in the small carpark next to the RFS station & community centre.
I'm turning 21 again (for the 20+somethingth time!) so I reckon that's a good excuse to stretch the legs.
This will be a social ride, and will suit those with some off-road riding experience, but perhaps not those still within their first half-dozen off-road rides.
So come and celebrate me getting older!
