Yellomundee Track Maintenance
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
There's a car park (click for foggy picture) on Springwood Road - just down the way from Hawkesbury Heights if you're looking for a suburb name.
Here's a chance for all riders to give back to the trails we use and enjoy: WSMTB will be holding a Track Maintenance Morning at Yellomundee Regional Park on Sunday 14 Sept at 8.30am to around midday.
Please bring line trimmers, loppers, shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, and a ute or two. For safety, wear long trousers, boots, hat & gloves.
All welcome!
Note: that riders in the WSMTB XC Series will receive 10 points for this track work.

OMV Trail Maintenance Day
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
OMV Trailhead, Quarry Road
From SNORC:
Remember 2PM for the next maintenance day. We have received a lot of comments back from you guys about stage 2. We agree and believe that stage 2 needs fine tuning. The flow could be better in parts, jumps in better locations and better drainage. We don't have the funding to pay someone to improve it but we hope to work on it bit by bit. We might tackle some of the stage 2 weak points during the next maintenance day. Please come along even it its just for an hour. We meet at 2PM at the trail head on Quarry Road.

Support needed at meeting re: Bare Creek Bike Park
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Civic Centre, Pittwater Road Dee Why NSW 2099. Entrance is at the rear, off the access road to the library carpark
Council is meeting to consider the Bare Creek Bike Park.
Staff are currently recommending AGAINST, due to padded estimates of future maintenance. Feedback from riders (many of whom are professionals with appropriate qualifications) that their figures are too high has been ignored.
We need a strong in-person presence to show the depth of support for the proposal.

Old Mans Valley Stage 2 Opening
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
End of Quarry Road, Hornsby - Parking is well signposted, directing cars to park at the END of the road. If this is full, park in the Dural Street carpark.
Official opening of stage 2 trails. And Lee from Nomadic Cafe will be there with the pedal - powered coffee cart serving his excellent brews!
30/5 Update from SNORC:
Come along and support the opening of stage 2. As a thank you to those companies that have paid to hold demo days in the past, Council have invited them to setup from 10AM onwards to show off their machines. There will be a BBQ that the club will cook up (starting midday) and the Coffee Nomad Dude will be there as well. It will be held at the bottom of the fire trail road, down near the green loop.

Menai Trail Build/Maintenance
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
The meeting point is Little Forest Rd, Lucas Heights. If driving south /south east on Illawara road, pass ANSTO on your left then look for Little Forest Rd and signs to the tip on your right, about 200m after ANSTO.
Follow the road around to the right until you come to the locked gates. Most likely there will be a number of cars there plus Kev (local council rep in a white ute - see him with or about your liability form.
Thought I'd get this up in the calendar although I'm uncertain on a lot of the details so anyone in the know please assist by commenting below.
Build days are held monthly on the second Saturday 0745 to 1200

WSMTB will be holding another track maintenance morning at Yellomundee Regional Park, 8.30am Saturday 10 May.
All welcome!
Attend and get 10 points for your XC series, plus a great BBQ lunch by WSMTB - and the knowledge that you are doing your bit for Sydney tracks. If every rider did just one day per year, then OUR tracks would be even better. Have you done your bit? Good tracks don't just happen my magic.

BMORC Rake & Ride - The Oaks
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
We will be meeting and parking cars at the Glenbrook Helipad. (Not to be confused with the Mid Oaks Helipad)

In roughly 50m Turn Rright onto the Helipad access firetrail. Most commmonly the gate here would be closed but will be open for us on the day.
If by chance you are running late, the gate for the Glenbrook Helipad firetrail may be closed in a dummy lock position. Slide the gate open for entry and slide back once through. If you intend on parking anywhere else in the park other than the helipad, you will be required to purchase a day pass from the toll booth and have it displayed in the vehicle.
Open invitation to everyone!!! This is your exclusive ticket to ride the trail before it opens.
With the track nearing completion and getting ready for an opening, we will be doing a bit of a tidy up spending a couple of hours with the rake, So bring one if you got one. After the tidy up, the trail is going to need some bedding in.
On the day, Synergy will be filming a promo video.
They want all skill levels of riders on the day. They want to see Kids, Weekend warriors, Women and Elites. They want to show this trail can cater for a large range of skill levels.

Oaks Volunteer Maintenance Day
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
We will be meeting and parking cars at the Glenbrook Helipad. The Toll booth will most likely be unmanned at this time in the morning, but if it is let them know you are volunteering with the Mtb track Maintenance. You will not need to pay the entrance fee. Follow the road across the causeway and up the other side. Continue past the Euroka and Mt Portal turn off. In roughly 100m Turn Rright onto the Helipad access firetrail. Most commmonly the gate here would be closed but will be open for us on the day. Please try to be at the meeting spot before 8am so we can make the most of the day.
We have teed up a maintenance day with National Parks. It may be assisting with the current development or it may be doing some fixing up of the existing trail. This will be determined at a later date by Parks and Contractor.
This will also be a bit of a training day so the preference of those attending are volunteers who are interested in doing more future and regular maintenance days along the Oaks Single-track but all are welcome.
On the Day there will be a chance to have a good look at the development of the final 2km.
Parks will be supplying a lunch.

Menai / Lucas Heights trail building day
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Little Forest Rd - turn off Illawara rd as if driving to the tip (look for large signs). Follow road and keep to the right where you should come to a tall locked gate and fence.
After another great day of trail building I thought it would be good to get more people along. There were approximately 15-20 people at the build day today and we managed to cut in almost 1 km of new singletrack. Obviously the more, the merrier.
The trail days are generally the second Saturday of each month but this might change depending on various factors.
You will need to complete an indemnity waiver (you chop your head off with a rake, it's your own fault type thing).

Manly Dam - Consultation & Free BBQ #2
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Picnic Area 1 - just inside the main gate
This is the second of two Warringah Council community consultation sessions AND FREE BBQ for 2 hours
If you are planning a few laps of the dam please drop by and talk with the rangers and register your interest and views on MTB access and trail development at the Dam. This will be the last opportunity to have our say before the new Plan of Management is finalized.
