Pleasure & Pain MTB Enduro - Now Open for Entries

Thinking of heading up to do the 50km race.

Basically 25km circuit within the MTB park - 25km 1 lap, 50km 2 laps, 100km 4 laps

Anyone keen to get a road trip together for this one ?

Great course I hear.

When:
Sunday, 28 August, 2011 (All day)

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
Pine Creek (Cows & Guns)
Meeting Point:

Pine Creek State Forest Mountain Bike Park

The Pleasure and Pain mountain bike event is now in its third year, born out of a desire by members of the Coffs Harbour Cycle Club to grow and improve on the Coffs Mountain Marathon point to point races of 2007-8.

011's track is essentially unchanged from previous years. There is an emphasis on singletrack, with breakouts into short fireroad and doubletrack sectors to let the legs rest some and to pass and be passed.

Well done to all those that finished. It was definitely challenging!

Rock Wallaby - Appin 2011

First ride in 3 weeks since popping my L5/S1 disc twice in April. Managed to finish completely lower back pain free. Lost 10 minutes repairing a snapped chain at the 3 km mark. Really enjoyed the technical climbs and technical downhills and dig'd the Appin coursed.

Well done to the Chocolate Foot team for such a great event, will definitely enter again next year if it's on!

25km of fun?

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Well, that was interesting.

Had been doing some longer rides of late, nothing fast, but 40 - 75km rides around the place so thought I should be ok here lung, heart and legwise.

Took off and tried to stay with some friends, that lasted about 2km until I started getting uncomfortable twinges in the back. I also found my heart rate was way up too, felt ok but was a bit surprised.

Build quality from CRC

Just wondering if anyone has purchased custom wheels from CRC and if so what was the build quality like? Looking at 717's on XT hubs with DT Swiss spokes

Kiwarrak State Forest update for 15 May

Status:
Green/Open

Great condition today, excellent traction thanks to just a hint of moisture in the track surface to make it tacky.

Just watch the puddles / 4WD bogs on the fire trail in the NE corner of the complex - I went thru one by a couple of inches while fiddling with my drink bottle and it almost swallowed the bike!
