Royal National Park update for 07 May
A definite mixed bag, and not what you'd expect.
The singletrack network was almost all dry, with the main exception being right near the creek at Loftus. Rest of the singletrack was remarkably dry and in great shape.
The firetrails on the other hand were a bit of a disaster. There's quite a few really huge puddles, over ankle deep, for the full width of the road.
A great case study to show that well designed/maintained singletrack can drain better than a poorly maintained fireroad!

Manly Dam update for 07 May
It's wet but rideable.
Saw moto tracks on the single track and caught up to a bloke on a trail bike at the technical section.
I told him it was a no go for motos - he pleaded ignorance and turned around.
I did one lap got it dirty and called it a day.

Awaba race advice
Hey guys, I'm pretty keen to start racing and someone recommended i try the xc race at awaba this sunday, can anyone give me some advice on what grade to enter? I'm pretty comfortable around the 20km mark distance wise but that's just at cruising pace, i imagine at race speed that will be significantly shortened. I don't really want to bite off more than i can chew, but at the same time there is no honor in thrashing children and grannies LOL . Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

First DW experience
Here is a photo montage of my 1st Dirt Works, didn't quite go to plan!!
A big thanks to those volunteers who looked after me and a few cheers & beers to Tarren & Andrew who got all my stuff back to Sydney car & bike included, I owe you a cold one.
