The Mont Rocks!
Had an absolute ball at The Mont and can so very easily see why everyone raves about it. Arriving at the campground to see so many people there to ride their bikes, the excellent set-up and facilities at race central, the nervous/excited buzz and then, on that first night, the quietest and stillest campground that I have ever witnessed.
Information from council RE: Pump Track @ Golden Jubilee
I just received the following letter from council:
Seems something is happening including a smaller single track loop??? see image attached.

Angelo = 1st place at the Mont 2011 MTB race
A friend sent me this picture of Angelo in full flight on the Kowan forest single track.
He spontaneously got onto the Mont Kids race and won the '10 and under' 5 laps of single track with 20 seconds to the runner up.
His brother Benji won the next race in the '13 and under' category 
The pressure is on!
Brisbane Water National Park update for 03 May
Sign at main entrance shows track is closed, with good reason. If you continue you will come across several sections where you need to walk through water up to your knees. Most of the start of the track is just waterlogged so as you cruise you'll get a constant spray in your face. Wait for this one to dry out!

Awaba on the weekend?
Any one keen for a social cruise around awaba this weekend? I've never ridden there before so if some one feels like coming out to show me around that would be brilliant. Not sure about the state of track at the mo with all this weather, any locals got any idea if it's going to be in a ride worthy condition by the weekend? Day and time are flexible to suit others.

May seem a daft question but where would I get 30wt oil - motor suppliers, bike shop etc? Need some for a dropper seat post I'm servicing but never had to buy any before.

Beginners ride - Stromlo
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Uriarra Road, just up from the Uriarra Road/Coppins Crossing Road turnoff.
Hi - 2nd leg of the 'Intro to Aussie MTB riding' for my brother, who is a retired MTB rider.
We'll be hitting Stromlo and doing all the favourites. It will extremely relaxed, is likely to involve crashing, but will not be fast.
We are riding Wingello on the Friday, so he will probably be broken from that.
Anyone is welcome, we'll be the two 'ranga' poms in the carpark.
