Still dry. Still open. Still boring.... Looks like the uphill section is hardly being used and has had some dirt bulldozed onto the last corner, making for a tricky exit.

Wanted: Large or Extra Large MTB Wanted < $1K
Looking for an Extra Large or Large MTB bike 2nd hand in good condition. Can be dual suspension or not. If anyone has something good in garage collecting dust between $500-$1K than I am interested. Looking for something that doesnt require any work and is ready to ride. Looking for good condition and decent ride. For XC and mainly road use. PM me if I can help you get a bike out of your garage!
OMV Short Track Series Round 1 (Rescheduled)
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
End of Quarry Road, Hornsby - Parking is well signposted, directing cars to park at the END of the road. If this is full, park in the Dural Street carpark.
"Well, we are awaiting confirmation on this. But it looks like the NorthConnex control of the Hornsby MTB trails has been delayed enough to allow us to host one more Short Track Summer Series.
We will be running them in tandem with the keepers of the spiritual origins of mtb racing in Northern Sydney - Manly Warringah CC. We each host one race per month, a fortnight apart. So this will mean about 6 or 7 delicious sweat pouring, gut wrenching, bike braking, leg burning and even vomit inducing pain sessions. Ah,,, not everyone's cup of tea but we love it!

Beast of Seaforth
A friend of mine claims he saw a large black cat (definitely not kitty) last Wednesday morning.
It ran across the fire trail on the Manly dam loop after the Manly Vale school.
I've read some Manly daily articles about similar sightings in Frenchs Forest.
Has anyone else spotted the beast?
Wildflower Garden update for 13 Dec
Dry and fast. Mostly in really good condition.
The steep rock garden descent heading west (second-last climb going east) on Muppets is getting badly blown out, with a lot of sand being washed down and deposited in the turn at the bottom. Beware. Lots of furrows indicating people coming in too hot off the descent and getting caught.
Seems to me there's merit in closing this line and rehabilitating it, and making the B-line around it the new permanent line. Sure, it's not as fun or challenging, but we have NPWS looking askance at this trail as it goes through Duffys Forest EEC (apparently) and this short section is an obvious erosion issue that doesn't reflect so well on an otherwise excellent trail.
I'm not sure who the trailbuilders are, but if anyone knows could they have a word. Happy to pitch in and help.

Terrey Hills update for 13 Dec
Dry and fast. Nerang has one puddle, driest I've seen it for ages.
Long track pinch climb has good grip straight up the middle. Spool up those legs and go for it
