The Mont: team wanted!!
Hey, I KNOW this is like extreme last minute, but my entire team has just bailed on me for the Mont. Does anyone need a girl to ride? (Willing to pretend to be a guy for the weekend if that's what it takes to ride!)
I'm car-less so I was going to get a lift down with my teammates so I will also need to beg for a lift, if it's not too much to ask.
Anyway if anyone needs a rider PLEASE let me know, I really want to go but am currently stranded in Sydney!
cheers,
Jen.

Double triple rear cover
If everything had gone to plan - this is what the rear of my light would look like.
From the left:
- an on / off push button
- the power connector (standard RCA jack, yellow for visibility in the murky twighlight of the tavern carpark or similar location),
- a rotary dimmer control (50kohm logarithmic poentiometer)

Double triple almost done
There are a few new light under construction at the moment so I thought should join in and share. This is my new light, in 'test mode', no perspex cover (screws in front ready for perspex sheet) on low power (controlled by logarithmic potentiometer) and a gaping big hole (not visible) on the back where I stuffed up the switch...
I threw on a bit of plastic off a CD jewel case, and took it for a lap of the Dam. Its considerably brigher than my old 200 lumen Dinotte (which is still a great little light).

Does anyone have a rear 12" wheel I could borrow for the Mont - or know where I could buy a 12er rim in Sydney or Canberra?
Have almost all the bits to build my 12er ... except for the rear rim and spokes.
Does anyone have a rear wheel to loan or can recommend a shop that stocks 12er items - I have a DT Swiss hub, but need a rim, spokes and tyre preferably pink..

Twitmob?
Hey Rob
Nobmob twitter?
Ride updates? Trail updates? Site updates? Race updates? Other juicy MTB info etc... What do you reckon?
There's already MTB activity on Twitter, but mainly US/UK tweets.

I'd follow the 'Twitmob' for sure.
Thoughts?

Toilets at the start of the Oaks
TTFH posted someplace else (and thought it was worth quoting him):
You may not have noticed, but there aren't any. However, when the station is open, there are toilets on the platform, and mountains trains all have toilets.
"What a strange way to start an email" you may be thinking...

Ourimbah DH
I'm due to hit Ourimbah DH on Sunday.
Does anyone know what the track would be like after all of this rain?
Am I better off leaving it until another time?
Cheers

The Mont: can any one decide where we are going to camp as a group?
There is a map of the camp site on the last newsletter for the Mont, can any one mark out where about we are likely to camp and post it up here? (puter nerds)
It would make it easy to find when we get there tomorrow, especially the ones arriving in the dark friday night.
