Fun weekend
Had a great time at this first time event last weekend.
Entered the 2 person team category for this event, as neither my mate or I felt up to the full 4 stages over two days. We ended up being the oldest team by a fair way I think.

St Ives - action needed by 27 Feb
Hi all
Kuringai Councils draft plan of management is considering mountain biking given St Ives sniggle cuts through it and they have land at HART.
The sniggle is basically as busy as Manly Dam and we need to ensure that riding is recognised.
There are at least 9000 mountain bikers in this part of Sydney, please make sure Council know they need to be part of the solution by providing trail and linkages to other land managers as part of the whole of government strategy published by NPWS in 2011.

OMV Short Track Series Round 3
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
End of Quarry Road, Hornsby - Parking is well signposted, directing cars to park at the END of the road. If this is full, park in the Dural Street carpark.
Old Mans Valley Short Track Racing Series (more info http://www.snorc.org.au/)
Get your bikes lubed, slap on the lycra and get ready to work off the festive season by throwing yourself into a lather of sweat in a summer short track series!
For the uninitiated this means going as hard as you can for about 15 minutes followed by lying on the ground and then enjoying a cool drink and BBQ as the sun sets over the valley.
Following on from the successful OMV Bike Festival, Hornsby Council have granted the OK to a short track series to be run from Jan to Mar 2015.

Snowy Mountain Mountain Bike Festival
My mates and I did this at the weekend - an excellent event that I'd definitely do again. The two day, 4 stage format makes a nice change from the 100km events.

Keep a look out for it next year as it could do with a few more entrants.

Off your trolley...
I came across what looks to be over 50 trolleys stashed in the bushes the other day at the dam, not far from the Parkway. My guess is the homeless guy that lives in there may be a hoarder...

STOLEN: 2009 Scott Genius 30 Medium Frame
What a downer...My beautiful bike stolen on Saturday night from my garage in Balgowlah. Black and Green.
As new condition.
Frame Number: S7mo6D20m080500
The right Shimano pedal was loose due to an end nut missing.

Wheel Builders
Does anybody know any good wheel builders around the northern beaches (that isn't belrose bikes - they can't do it in time)
thanks in advance. Scott.

Has anyone ridden at Falls creek?
I'm tossing up mt buller vs falls creek. I believe there are great trails at both, but they are 4 hours apart!
Buller has the new alpine epic trail, falls creek has similar I believe and has also hosted championship races..
If I lived in Melbourne, I could do both on different weekends. But I live in sydney!
Any recommendations and insight appreciated.
Cheers
