Capital Punishment 2015
Really happy with my result this year. The extra training I've been doing since before Christmas has paid off.
I knocked 30mins off last years time and didn't suffer from cramps.
Gonna keep the training schedule up and hope for a decent race season this year.

Fun Weekend in Canberra
It was freezing at the start. I accidently found myself on front row of the 2nd wave which didn’t last long… At 4km in I saw @doc with an SXC mate on the inside of an uphill corner looking all grazed and holding himself like he had a busted collar bone. I hope I’m wrong Dave! I stopped almost 1km later and relayed what I saw to a marshall.

Not a bad execution!
(Before the death of Capital Punishment!)

Cascades update for 08 Mar
Its in great form if you love baby head rocks and sand drifts. Dry as, but sketchy.

2015 Capital Punishment Done.
This being my second MTB Marathon since March 2014 I really had no idea how I would go.
I have been riding a bit so I knew I was going into this with some fitness. I’ve also been paying attention to what I eat and have managed to drop a couple of kilograms which is always nice.
After heading down Friday afternoon with Michael, checking in, picking up a race number we headed out for dinner with Dave and Gary. Besides the restaurant forgetting about our meals everything was going like clockwork.

CrossMax SLR
THis is a bit of a long shot.
Just wondering if anybody can confirm whether a spoke key from a 2006 wheelset will works for a 2014 wheelset on the Crossmax SLR?

Fairwell CP... You'll be missed
What a great event... My second only CP only wish I'd done more
I'll keep my race debrief short...
Pre-training = Going in to the event I'd covered a huge 302km so far this year
Objective = Stay alive
Expectation = Struggle to stay alive
Outcome = Awesome... knocked 14mins off last years time and significantly improved overall and category placings

The end of Capital Punishment.....
This event came at the end of a 3 week road trip that involved hitting up the trails and beaches at Mogo and Broulee, the Snowies MTB Festival, some high altitude training at Falls Creek, riding the East Gippsland Discovery Trail and then spending a week in the Victorian Alpine National Park, including a couple of shortish rides at Horseyard Flat and in the Wonnangatta Valley.

FOUND - Sunglasses at Awaba
I found a pair of sunglasses at Awaba the other week. They were a metre or so off the track in the bushes and looked like they had been there for some time. They are Adidas A166 Terrex. If you think they are yours, message me on here with a description and we'll sort out getting them back to you

First and last capital punishment
This was my first attempt at this race and hate to say it will be my last only because they are not running it next year. What a shame it is, I did the 50km course and it was fantastic. It was also the first time I had been through stromlo and that place is a mountain bikers paradise. All that single trail and the bermed corners through luge and other trails I can't remember the name of. In fact the only thing harder than building that park would be naming all the trails.
