Mt Buller "shuttle" and time

We're spending two weeks in Mt Beauty in March and want to head across to Mt Buller for a couple of days. As well as the trails on top of the hill, we'll ride the Epic trail. It sounds as though a few people on here have ridden there recently. Can anyone tell me if there is any way of getting back up to Mt Buller on a weekday? The "BlueDirt" shuttles only run on weekends. Also, how long does the Epic take to ride?

Visiting Sydney from the states - the end of March

I am visiting Sydney from March 24 - April 2nd. I ride and race mountain bikes in the States. Looking for a place to rent a mountain bike and hoping to connect with some people who also love to mountain bike to go on a ride or 2.

(I don't normally write blog entries for such small events, but this one was so spectacular that I'm making an exception.)

When I was in Year 12, a motivational speaker named Glen Gerryn came to my school, who's favourite line was, "Pick yourself up, dust yourself off. AND TRY IT AGAIN!" I think he'd be proud of me for this effort, because this is LITERALLY what I did*

Snowies MTB Festival

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

A new event on the calendar – and quite a good one at that!

The Snowies MTB Festival was held at Lake Crackenback resort – a little holiday camp style place halfway between Jindabyne and Thredbo.
The resort host the start and finish of each of the 4 stages over two days.

DIY Carbon Frame Repair

Small crack in frame and some rather pricey quotes left me thinking that I should just do it myself.

Super easy, just sand it down to existing fibre, slap on some epoxy and a carbon patch. Ideally use a vacuum bag but in lieu of that a freezer bag and duct tape as tight as you can to force that resin in to the fibre and make the patch as compact as possible. Then sand until smooth and paint it.

A few hours worth of tinkering and what looked like a disaster has been sorted at a cost of less than $50 in resin and fibre - yay!
