Are you riding tomorrow?
...if so, and you are around Terrey Hills, Duffys Forest, Belrose or Oxford Falls please can you keep your eye out for a missing horse?
It's grey with a black mane and tail and wearing purple tack.
He went missing this morning from Duffys Forest public arena, they have looked all day but not found him.
A search party will be gathering at 8am at Anembo Road of walkers and bike riders (you are welcome to join) to try and find him.

Centenary Trail
Just finished riding the Centenary Trail, my wife and I decided to do it over two days, did the Southern end first, rode about 92KM. Track is good, great variation and signage wasn't too bad. The best of the Southern single track is from Kambah Pools to Tuggeranong, however, flow is spoilt somewhat by the number of gates you have to lift your bike over.
Rode the Northern section today, rode about 60km, lots of single track from Mulligans Flat to Hall, plenty of climbing too, the ride up One Tree Hill got the legs working. There weren't as many locked gates up North.

Bantry bay new trails timeline
Anybody know when these trails will be finished/open? From what I can see the western trails will be completed first then the eastern ones closest to wakehurst parkway. But what's the timeline?

2014 Single Track Mind Series Round 2 - Mogo
The weekend was shaped up to be one of this 'epic' weekends away. The forecast was for sunny conditions and not too cold, and everybody was anticipating riding those spectacular trails that Mogo has to offer.
Everybody loves a roadtrip and the Chocy Foot race gave the SXC Racing boys a great excuse to get away as a team and just ride. For this round we had our Masters team of 3, represented by Dave, Matt and Gary, and Graham and myself doing the 4hr solo.

Demo/Test days (brands or shops)?
Is there any such events coming up in the next months?
Specialized 'Test the Best' seems to off for a few months
I remember seeing a Trek test day at Manly Dam. But can find anything online.
What about other brands or shops?
Love to try a Scott or Canondale.

Lane Cove National Park update for 21 Jul
The tree is still across Devlin's track just up from Whale Rock, but it's pretty much rideable unless, like me, you are a bit limited in the ability to bunny hop / bounce over branches on the ground while ducking under head high branches at the same time.
Big news however is that there is a NPWS "Caution Track Work" sign on the sniggle upstream from Belinda Cres. The work so far has involved widening with the big whipper snipper, dumbing down some of the drops / roll offs to get machinery up there and then building steps (yes, steps) on the little "climbs" in the first 200m from the park entrance sign up near the M2. Wouldn't be so bad if they left a rideable line as well, but the positioning of some fallen tree trunks and corralling rocks makes it look like that ain't going to happen. No doubt the "no bikes" signs will go up soon enough.
Another nice move from the monotheistic NPWS.....
Otherwise the LCNP tracks are fine....
