Great to back on the MTB. I'm quite bored of the road...

I can't figure out why, but I just felt shocking today. I have been training well & feeling well in general - but on the track today I just couldn't 'warm up'. I'd slept half okay (considering I have 2 young'uns) & eaten normally. I didn't start out too hard. I just don't know. I still find it really hard to know who is in my grade. Is a coloured arm band system silly?

In any case, great to be back on my fave bike! A little slippery, and muddy in spots. I hope the good weather keeps up.

What a brilliant day

Back on the bike for the first time in a few weeks after an enforced break due to some rib trouble.

Too wet to ride the trails so I pulled out the commuter and stuck to the road. Took some turns pulling at the front with a couple of roadies on the way back from Terrey Hills. Lots of smiles from other riders, the unexpected bright winter sun obviously lifting the mood, and lots of other riders about.

If we could just get some dry trails, it would be about perfect.

Singleton Track Conditions

Guys heading up to Newcastle today. If Awaba XC race is cancelled tomorrow, I was thinking of heading out to Singleton to have a look at the track there.

Any updates on the track condition at Singleton ?

Garmin Third Party Sensor for Speed Cadence

Gone and got a replacement for the crappy old GSC-10.

Just got hold of the Wahoo Fitness speed and cadence sensor.
Installed, scanned on garmin, ready to go!
Can't wait to try it out on the trainer.

Update SS HT MTB

Excellent for winter riding in the wet!
Front: bottle-mudguard in fluorescent pink for extreme visibility at night!
Gearing is 32:17 which is good on slight climbs, and out of the saddle workouts on longer climbs but still to low on flats or slight declines.
May drop down to 16 on the back...not sure how much difference that would make.
Considering going to 1/2 link bmx chain to lose the chain tensioner don't now if that would work either. Anyone?
