2012 Australian XCM Champs
This race was not really in my plans, but given my recent results and managing to avoid any sickness so far this year, I thought I would give this a go. You never know when you will get another chance right ?
My plans were to get down to Canberra and do a pre-ride of the course the Sunday before, but with all the rain this never happened. So I found myself not really knowing what to expect course wise, but from reports of other riders, and previous knowledge of riding Stromlo - I knew 80km + out here was going to be a hard day out.

Don't bother. Soooo much rain.
I'm predicting another 'test day' fiasco this coming Saturday similar to the Glenrock/Specailized event.

Mount Annan Botanic Garden update for 10 Jun
they had rain sat night so it was slippery & a bit muddy in spots but dry in others .It got dryer with every lap & up untill 2pm there was no rain .

Terrey Hills update for 10 Jun
P&L were fast and tacky this morning. A few standing puddles, but no match for the skinny CX tyres....i'd almost forgotten why I liked disc brakes over rim brakes
I'm not so sure it'll be as rideable after the day's rain.

Wingello State Forest update for 10 Jun
Rode the red and blue loops yesterday. A little damp, but hardly any standing water. It's drained very nicely. There are lots of branches down though so keep an eye out. Also, lots of mid sized sticks that are just screaming out for a deraillieur!
