Ourimbah State Forest update for 16 Mar
Rode here today. I'd call it amber at best - especially if the forecast rain comes through. Heaps of deep, heavily rutted muddy puddles and a lot of soil erosion. A large chunk of the track including Ewok forest has also been taped off due to heavy mud.

Kowen Forest update for 16 Mar
Kowen Forest - the Mont 24 2012 track.
I rode it this morning and it is open. It is muddy in sections. There are about 20 dips that are muddy, which when 3000 rider run over them will become a non-rideable slop. Kowlowski's Sideshow has three sections of slop where I had to detour 2m off the track line for about 10m to get around.
However heavy rain has just started falling (3pm Friday 16th) and this will make the track worse. For the Mont to be enjoyable, we need sunshine for the next week. Strangely this is what is forecast until Thursday (22nd) apart for the rest of today and tomorrow (Sat).

Last minute favour?
Anyone on the northern beaches got a new 10 speed xt or xtr rear derailer lying around that I could take off them, then return with a new one next week?
I know it's a long shot but I dont have any time to be driving round looking for one and have a race on Sunday.

Little Manly Dam clip
Went out for a ride yesterday at the Dam, being the glorious weather that it was, thought i would take the chest mount GoPro with me that i bought for Skiing and made a little clip. My riding isnt anything special, but it may help you through your day at the office

Did the XC loop today, ~ 10 muddy boggy parts ~10cm deep but the rest fully dry, some work has gone on since the hard rain, I noticed a wooden berm since last time I was here, sweet! Was a battle getting up fire road in lowered coupe though.

Bobbin Head update for 15 Mar
A dry fire trail superhighway which sits proudly above the swamps it has created either side along the ridge top. A bit of water on the descent, but overall pretty good.

North Turramurra update for 15 Mar
Lovers Jump Ck track is still muddy in places.
Nth Turra sniggle is a mess and should probably be red. Lots of boggy patches, most of which I walked through or around. The creek crossing is now very difficult because of further erosion and there is a large tree down just on the northern side of it. Another tree down as well, but short people could probably just about ride under it.
Fire trail through from the back of Samuel King Oval to the Murrua Track head is always muddy, but currently much worse than usual. The sniggle section along the pipeline that I used to use to bypass the steep concreted hill sections is almost overgrown and mostly saturated.
Murrua Trail loop is not bad. A couple of wet patches only. Didn't go out to the end of Murrua, so can't comment on that.

Winmalee update for 14 Mar
Done a loop yesterday to see how the conditions were. Large puddles, boggy mud sections and trees down blocking path, not much fun. Won't be going around again until a little more sunshine.
