Chiltern Track update for 26 Jan
I'll mark it as amber as I didn't ride it and also it is a firetrail. On my road ride this arvoI stopped to take the below photo which shows just how much water it coming off this area this track is. Below is a link of where the pic was taken

Cascades update for 26 Jan
Very, very wet but quite a lot of fun! Rode 4 gates today. The creek crossing are running very full and very fast.. got washed off the bike on one crossing so you do need to watch out for them!

Manly Dam update for 26 Jan
It's hammering down here in Allambie Heights right now and has been all night. There's no getting away from the fact that it will be ridiculously wet, some sections will resemble small creeks and will remain so for a few more days regardless of the weather.
Head up to Duck Holes/Centre at Terrey Hills if you need a ride.

Royal National Park update for 25 Jan
i live a stones throw away from the Royal and whilst I have not ridden there in the few days I'm going to call it Red/Amber. With the amount of rain we have had yesterday and today those trails are going to be wet wet wet. I rode here on Sunday morning and there was already water sitting on the surface so can only imagine it has gotten worse.

It's been raining steadily, heavy at times, all day. Best for your bike and the track not to ride there tomorrow. With no rain tomorrow it should be okay, but not great, for the weekend.

Crazy Ideas
How much would it cost to build a mega shed somewhere for the purpose of housing an all weather indoor Mountain bike track? If you were clever you could design trails to change routes (like train tracks) to go from being a low tech XC run to a more challenging one??? Think big, like Woolworths warehouse big! Also think of Golden Jubes, but undercover. You could keep the greenies happy by collecting all the rain water! And we'd lighten the load on wet trails...

Jamis Dakota d29 Team and d29 Pro? Thoughts?
Wondering if anyone out in MTB land has a Jamis Dakota 29er, preferably d29 Team or d29 Pro? If not has had exposure, for example been on a ride or a friend has one, or otherwise has any thoughts? I have looked over the net where there is a lot of useful information, however would like to know if anyone has any additional thoughts (good, bad, other) to inform my thinking.
