Scott 24 night lap - warm up at the RNP
Usually Loftus Oval, Sutherland, just off the Princes Highway.
Thought a couple of hours of technical night riding would be good practice, for hanging on the bike coming down Stromlo Mountain in the dark....... God, I'm looking forward to the Scott.
Change of plan due to the weather. Changed this ride to the more "bike friendly when wet"Royal National Park. You'll need good lights and reasonable night riding skills for this one.
See you there.
Short Social Night Ride - Terry Hills
Echunga Road (Japanese School).
We may head back for a meal at the Tavern. Not sure yet.
Short easy ride.
Check out the Royal Night Ride on the same night. I would go to that but I live in Thornleigh and it's a long drive to Loftus (on a school night) for a short night ride. Did the drive for the last trail-work-day, planning to ride there one day soon. The trails there look good. Quite popular too.
Royal National Park Out And Back
Usually Loftus Oval, Sutherland, just off the Princes Highway.
Going to ride the popular out and back trail, with a small loop thrown in, from Loftus Oval to Heathcote.
There’s plenty of fast flowing single track, a bit of fire trail and a couple of challenging hills thrown in. Pace will be medium (well for me medium, someone else may think it’s slow) and there will be limited stops.
Terrain isn’t too tricky, but good lights will be needed.
Be good to see you there.

old farts scenic tour of Lidsdale
From Lithgow head on the Western Highway toward Bathurst. After 10-11Km you will head uphill and see thick pine forest to the right. It's dual carriageway here, and there's a right turn across the other lane into Forest Ridge Drive (signposted and a sealed road). About 50m on the left there's a turning where you can park in the shade. There's also an old concrete section of the highway just past there with masses of parking.
hopefully the new bike cams will be here by then
first lap might be pics for posting for others
but I think there might be either so many trails we'll just tour around here there and everywhere
Ourimbah State Forest Romp - Cancelled
North End of Red Hill Rd, Ourimbah State Forest. There's a large-ish parking area here, just off the main sealed road. There is also a smaller parking area a little further (400m or so from the road) where the trail splits - this second area is the usual meeting point. If you end up driving up a steep hill you've gone too far.
I'll be showing a mate around for his first ride at Ourimbah thought we'd make a day of it.
Social pace to start with some faster laps thown in, not looking at riding downhill on the day.
Just looking to get some good riding in beofre the 24hr and the Fat Tyre.
CANCELLED - Social Nightride [Terrey Hills]
2 Aumuna Rd, Terrey Hills, NSW 2084 (Terrey Hills Tavern)
About time we start the weekly Social Night Ride again. Probably a good time to spin those legs again for those who attended the Angry Doctor.
This ride starts at 7:15 PM - we'll do Duckholes & Centre Trail.
[Everyone welcome - suitable for newbies, too...social pace...we're riding mostly easy fire-trail]
See you all there 7:15 PM...

Ourimbah Lazy Dayz
North End of Red Hill Rd, Ourimbah State Forest. There's a large-ish parking area here, just off the main sealed road. There is also a smaller parking area a little further (400m or so from the road) where the trail splits - this second area is the usual meeting point. If you end up driving up a steep hill you've gone too far.
As discussed... a lazy start and few fun hours at Ourimbah.
Return of the (mid week) Menai...
By the sports field on Old Illawarra Road, Barden Ridge.
Well, Menai sort of rhymes with Jedi!
Going for the usual mid week ride around Menai, won’t be venturing near the free ride areas and the more technical trails, these will be left for the daylight hours.
Pace will be reasonable, but plenty of stops to check we haven’t lost anyone, good night riding skills will be needed along with a good riding light.
I’ve said 8pm but if anyone wants to change, please feel free to PM me.
Look forward to seeing a few of you out there.
Cheers
