how to remove dried latex in tyres
I recently removed some tyres off my bike that had been running latex based sealant.
The tyres are still in good condition and i will want to use them again.
How can i remove the old dried up latex stuck inside the tyres?
Solvent?

DIY Servicing
Not to sound cheap (because really I am) but the cost of servicing my beloved is more than servicing my Subaru!!
Without mentioning LBS names, but some places charge up to $230 for a full service and thats without brake, drivetrain and shock servicing, which is all I need really.
So my question is, is whether there is anyone out there that has converted the garage/shed/outback loo/treehouse etc to a workshop and knows enough of the know to help service a few of our rigs and also teach us some jedi mind tricks in the process involved with it.
All for a competitive fee of course ...
Front derailleur technical assistance
Looking to upgrade FD to XT from entry level Deore. I have worked out the difference between top swing and conventional swing but can anyone explain the difference between a 28.6mm and 34.9mm Dual pull v's 31.8mm and 34.9mm Dual pull
Choosing correct frame size
Hey everyone, I'm looking at getting a mountain bike. I don't know much at all about them. I'm most likely going to buy a second hand one with front suspension to begin with. I just want to know how I decide on the correct frame size? I'm 183cm tall, but I don't have long legs as I'm taller in my upper body. If theres any advice you can give me in purchasing a second hand bike that would be appreciated too.
Cheers

can i remove bash ring and only use 2 chainrings?
Hi All,
I have removed my heavy bash ring from my crankset, however, now my chain-ring bolts are too long and dont secure my big ring (which is actually a middle ring)
can i get shorter chain ring bolts or should i use a washer/spacer?
thanks
Magura Marta levers
I'm trying to help out one of my riding mates who is stationed in Libya (of all places). He needs replacement lever(s) for his Magura Marta disk brakes and for multiple reasons he cannot buy them in / from Libya. So I'm trying to source them and his wife who'll go over in a few weeks will (hopefully) take them with her.
Spending a bit of time on google has not delivered the goods, I can only find complete brakes not the levers on their own. At CRC they have magura levers but none described as for the Marta kit.
Air compressors
Me again
With my soon to be conversion to regular tyres on tubeless rims (not UST)
I realise I now need an air compressor (does it ever stop) - rhetorical question
So, what is a reasonable compressor for inflating standard tyres without tubes
how much should I expect to pay and what should I look for (max psi etc)
And where would I go to find a well priced one
BTW, I'm a mechanical muppet
So what Rob is talking about in another post may as well be in Swahili
