It's On
Midday Ride
King Street (near corner with Arana Street), Manly Vale. You know - outside Manly Hydraulics Lab.
I've finished uni and have until February until i start my job. So i have all the time in the world to go riding. I was thinking 1 or 2 laps of the dam. During the day is better so we don't have to contend with peak hour traffic.
if anyone has a better suggestion on what time to ride, feel free to make a suggestion.
Social night ride + Dinner
Terrey Hills Tavern
Well I thought I may leave the Red Hill night ride for another time...perhaps next year.
Instead how about a cruisy social ride as the year winds down and grab dinner after at the Tavern.
The ride will only be short at around an hour so we can get back in time for some food.
If it rains as it is forecast to, then we go straight to the food part
Duck Holes / Waratah / Centre Track
Terrey Hills Shops
I'm off for a ride if any one else feels like one I'll see you at Terrey Hills Shops by 3.30
Two Laps Of Manly
King Street (near corner with Arana Street), Manly Vale. You know - outside Manly Hydraulics Lab.
Just a couple of early Sunday morning laps of the dam not fast just out to have a nice ride.

Manly Dam is closed!
we may ride TH , Duck and centre Track or, or....
Lane Cove Friday Arvo Newbie Ride
Meet "At the Seat" South End Kissing Point Road. The seat is the picnic seat down in the valley next to the concrete cycleway (near the water crossing). If you can come at a later time then please come along. We often come past the seat so you can join in when we see you. The seat has a large sign near it and is surrounded by wood chip from parts of the huge fallen tree next to it. I'll take a photo of the seat.
The concrete cycleway links the two sides. Park Kissing Point Rd (north side) or Vimeria Road (South side). Watch out for the scummers in their latte sipping tights as they think that trying to break the sound barrier on the cycleway is cool.
Come along. Legal track only, avoiding big hills. XC style riding. Friends and I ride here quite a bit, come along and see our preferred route. We take it nice and easy early on. Being mature aged, we like to warm up a bit. Lane Cove holds water after rain, if it has rained during the day it is off. A very small sprinkle is ok. We ride instead on trails where the water runs off the trail instead of sitting in the middle of it.
Oaks Up and Back - Twilight to Night Ride
Glenbrook station carpark.
Possibly the last night ride of the year
Starting a 6.00pm we will riding up The Oaks reaching the top as the sun is setting - 27k and 70% climbing (this will probably take 2 hours to 2.5 hours).
Once at the top we will be turning around and riding back down in the dark - 27k and 70% downhill (about 1.5 hours). Those who only want to ride down can meet us at the top.
You will need good lights (preferrably charged), a reasonable level of fitness, and a beer for post ride.
Ourimbah
North End of Red Hill Rd, Ourimbah State Forest. There's a large-ish parking area here, just off the main sealed road. There is also a smaller parking area a little further (400m or so from the road) where the trail splits - this second area is the usual meeting point. If you end up driving up a steep hill you've gone too far.
***TIME CHANGED TO 11AM TO CATER FOR ANY JUMP TRAINING PEOPLE TO COME UP. RIZ!***
I didn't make it on Wednesday night and seeing as Harry is doing his chops about it I want to see the track. And after last weekend in the Blueys I'm PUMPED for singletrack!
I haven't done it before so will be exploratory pace (well, the first lap anyway.....)
If there's any racing going on there that I don't know about please let me know, otherwise I'll be there unless it's too wet.
Meet in the larger car park listed above (I don't know it but I'm sure it's easy).
Xmas BBQ
Manly Dam Picnic Area table number Area 1 shelter 1 (look for the sign NobMob or Andrew Lai)
Its on again! The NobMob Christmas BBQ! How does a few laps of the dam sound followed by a BBQ with the Mob?
Ive just booked a BBQ, one of the ones where you just push a button for the gas to come on. Its near the playground (wherever that is) I'll advise the BBQ number soon.
Don't forget its booked ALL DAY so if you want a brekkie, lunch or late arvo BBQ go right ahead. BYO food and extras to share.
Look for the sign NobMob/Andrew Lai on a BBQ, we wont fit all our meat on at once so be prepared to cook at various times blah blah blah
