The course
The NEW regular night ride
Terrey Hills Tavern
The other regular night ride.
How about we do Duck/Centre and then do it again backwards for a change?
Not fussed. We can do what the crowd wants on the night.
Pre Maintenance Ride
Cootamundra Drive, Allambie Heights
Meet at the worksite. We'll do a quick lap before the work starts. Also a chance to try my new bike out
The regular night ride is back!
The tavern of course!
Hi Everyone!
Okay time to go for a nice spin on a Tuesday night (sorry Buck I can't do Wednesdays), no training, no fast riding. Just a cruise up to the end of the long trail and back to the pub!
Bring your lights too!
Andrew
Trying out new bike
Well I'm going to give the new bike a spin on the weekend to see how it all goes.
It won't be a fast ride. The brakes have next to no power at the moment as they are brand spanking new so I'll be taking it all nice and easy.
I will probably start with Perimeter/Long. If I have time I may then join Tien and do Duck/Waratah/Centre tracks. I'll decide on the day in the carpark what exact track we'll do.
Andersons & The Oaks
Glenbrook train station carpark to catch the 6.53am train dont forget to change your clock 1 hour backwards from current daylight savings time.
This will be a medium to quick paced training ride with the dirtworks in mind so there will be minimal stops and plenty of mashing up the hills (for me anyway on the single speed) I believe it is about 60km so you will need to be able to do that sort of distance with relative ease.
Meet at Glenbrook station carpark with plenty of time in hand to get ready and organized to catch the train now at 6.53am to Wentworth Falls from there I will need a guide as last time couldnt find Andersons and spent the day looking for it (would of helped if I had remembered to bring the directions).
Terrey Hills + West Head
Park opposite/beside Terrey Hills shops, corner Booralie Rd/Yulong Ave. Or in the small carpark next to the RFS station & community centre.
Craig & I are planning an afternoon blast around Duck Holes, Warimoo, Centre & Terrey Hills (Perimeter + Long) Thursday arvo.
The route is most likely going to be same as this:
http://trail.motionbased.com/trail/activity/5067894
We will be aiming for virtually zero stops and total time out of less than 4 hours. Depending on how that goes we might even tag a visit to Duffys Trail on too.
It's a bit of an unconventional schedule (early thursday arvo - yay! ) but anyone looking for a long ride at decent pace is welcome to come along.
Terry Hills - Wednesday Night Ride
Terry Hills Tavern.
Cascades Ride
Corner of Ralston & Elm Avenue
Part1: I plan to start at Elm Avenue, down Heath and up to Davidson, down an up Quarry, then to be different I am going to continue from Quarry around the single track to the entrance at St Ives, down St Ives and up Heath.
Part2: I then intend on then doing the 4 gates ride.
I am not sure what this will total in kilometers but there will be a lot of elevation.
Edit: If anyone is interested in the first part only come along.
DW Training
Park opposite/beside Terrey Hills shops, corner Booralie Rd/Yulong Ave. Or in the small carpark next to the RFS station & community centre.
Plan is to do Duck Holes, Waratah, Centre, Perimeter and Long Trails. Total distance should be about 50km and...1100m...!
