Heath Track Cascades
Committing the google map of this trail from nobmob to memory (hah), I set off to find the single track and downhill technical near the Ralston Rd entrance.
At the top of the heath track, between it and the single track on google there is a nice downhill that has a few trails funneling into one trail that heads down the valley off a long rock shelf. A lot of work (a little too much) has gone into this trail with pallets etc down some drop-offs. At the bottom of the last drop-off, the trail suddenly ends. There a a few very overgrown trails that continue along near the creek bed but I thought they may have been animal trails and so didn't venture too far.
Solo rides
Can anyone suggest any good rides for me to do on my own during the week (work most weekends ) I'm only just getting back into it after a few years but am still of reasonable level fitness. Also, I've never ridden on the N-Beaches before...
Thanks
Adam

death adder at Terrey Hills
Yesterday at 6am-ish my sister was running along the Perimeter Trail at Terrey Hills and came across a Death Adder!!!
Thought it was worth mentioning...they are the ninth most deadliest snake in the world... here is a link to see what they look like...not long at all.

Gibberagong track???
Hi Guys, just down for the holdidays and exploring the area and I noticed the Gibberagong track marked on map. It starts at the end of Grosevener Street in North Wahroonga and looks to go all the way down to Bobbin Head. Has any one out there ridden this??
I was thinking it might be a nice loop down this Gibberagong track and back up the Bobbin Head tracks to the Sphynx, any comments?
Bahai Temple to Deep Creek Trail
G'day!
Last Saturday I was riding on the Deep Creek Trail from Morgan Road towards Narrabeen, and not that long after the waterfall I came across a trail on the left side. It was a very nce single-track trail. I don't believe it is secret track or anything like that, since it was not hidden in any way. So I decided to head up it, I soon came across some guys who told me it is a very long trail and comes out near Bahai Temple, and I was going the wrong way. So I ended up turning back...
Anyway, Ive been planning to do this trail this weekend in conjuction with a longer ride, but I did not know where exactly the trail started near the Bahai Temple. So I asked somebody about it in another forum because they mentioned they had riden there, they told me that it starts about 200m after the Temple along Mona Vale Rd towards St Ives. Where there is a parking bay, the trail starts left of it, over some logs. When there is a fork in the track take the left option. Anyway, I haven't personally explored the track yet, but will probably post an update of it here after I have...
Desecration, vandalism – Manly Dam trail is GONE!!!
I bring very bad news...
Just rode Manly Dam this morning and the trail had GONE - bulldozed out of existence!!!
Every water sculpted ledge and boulder has been flattened, every pothole and crevice filled. Instead we have a wide, soft sand freeway that’s good for nothing.
The premier trail of the Northern Beaches is no more…
What were they thinking???

Sphinx Walking (cough cough) Trail
We did the sphinx walking trail (oops) down the hundred or so stairs 6.5kms to halvorsens then back up the gibberagong waterholes track 5.5kms and cut to north turramurra (instead of up to grovenor st, wahroonga) A bit too much hike a bike involved and didnt realise sphinx was a no go till walkers told us halfway around. was a good day though. the track from north turramurra down to gibberagong could be worth it for a fastish tech downhill, was very cool down under the trees too on a fairly hot day. nice tight trail in some place which was fun but again a lot of hike a bike and scrambling over gaps made it a bit annoying make sure to fill your water in bobbin hd as the water on gibberagong didnt look too good for drinking!
Little Moab Loop has improved
Hi All
For those of you that ride the Oxford Falls area, you might be interested to know that the loop that extends to the right hand side of Little Moab is now a lot less overgrown.
The 'trail fairies' have been hard at work with their pruners and have made the faster sections a joy to ride. This is surely one of the best non technical tracks in the area!
There is stil a bit more clearing to be done and the more people that ride it the better. If you're not sure where it is, check the Oxford falls section on this site.
There is also a new jump at the end of the XC loop called the "Latte Gap", after it's builder, who is a Cannondale rider.
