MWMTB are proud to present the second running Merry Cross-mass Cup. Racing will be Short Track format (15minutes + 1 Lap) with 2 barrier sections (one should be fast, the other will be on a carry) and if the storms continue probably a little bit of mud.

Bike rule: This year in addition to the Cylco-cross class, there will be a "Flatties & Fatties" Class for mountain bikers (Note the class name refers to the handlebars and tyres, not the riders).

Looking for a shorter stem

Looking for something like the stocker unit on the stumpjumper at around the 50mm.
Bars are the small 25mm type, so the stumpy unit wont work.
Could try the O/S stem but would need O/S bars as well.

Am trying a few things to make my other bike work for the girlfriend.
I'll be at the bbq ride at the weekend...

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

I have a 2006 Kona COiler Deluxe that I bought two months ago (6/10/07) as a replacement for my Reign. I have since gotten hooked on downhill/freeride and upgraded again to a Glory Zero and decided to keep the Reign for trail duties.

Specs are here - http://www.konaworld.com/bikes/2006/coiler_dlx.htm

Highlights for those too lazy to look are Marzocchi 66VF2 forks, Fox DHX4.0 shock, Hayes Mag 7" Brakes, Raceface stem/bars/seatpost/cranks, XT&LX drivetrain, Sun Rims and 2.35" Maxxis Minion tyres.

For those who know me, I'm back! For those who don't, I had a nasty accident in Canberra on the APEC long weekend early in September. I thought I was 21 again and tried a jump that might have been a little above my limits.

Anyway, after a week in Canberra hospital, a broken left arm and a real bugger of a dislocation with ripped tendons, nerves and muscle in the right (so painful I didn't even realise I'd broken the left!) I've been recovering slowly and still haven't got full movement back in the right arm.

Ourimbah State Forest

For anyone who didn't have too many Christmas drinks the night before.
The usual mix of XC (well at least one lap), Downhill shuttles with a sausage in bread between runs. Or if you prefer, just keep hitting that awsome xc all day!

For those who haven't been to Ourimbah before, it's some of the best xc riding around with some super fun but not too serious downhill, always a good day.

I'll be bringing the ute of course to help with shuttles, good for about seven bikes. There may be a need to sort out another vehicle(s) between yourselves if the group increases.

So as many of you know I have been off due to an unfortunate incident at Manly Dam over the October long weekend which resulted in a nasty break at the Radial Head of my elbow. After Surgery inserting plates and screws to help set the bones in place I have been back to get assessments on how my bones heal....

As it seems I am healing "as good as can be expected" came from the surgeons mouth...might i mention that he has a striking resemblance to Dr Spengler from the Ghostbusters (both Mel and I now find it hard to look him in the eye without a rye smile).....

Wed night ride

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
Cascades
Meeting Point:

Corner of Douglas St and Acron Rd, St Ives

Show on Google maps: Meeting point. Login or register to get directions.

Thought I'd try something different this week. And need the fitness training anyway.

Starting from St Ives.

I was thinking of doing the Cascades track to Davidson. Back down and up Heath track to Belrose. Lap of two of the single track. Back down Heath and up Quarry trail. If people are super keen (or love pain) we can then go back down Quarry and up Cascades again to the car.

If the mob want to do something cruisy then feel free to post another Terrey Hills ride Smiling

Wheelbarrow Ridge Road?

This looks like a bit of fun, anyone game?

http://trail.motionbased.com/trail/activity/653877

It's up near Wisemans Ferry, although you would be driving up to Lower Portland via Windsor most likely. Looks like a nice training ride for 100K events. Smiling
