The previous version was shelved 12 years ago, so it's not like this opportunity comes around very often. Spread the word, thanks.

Clean Up Australia Day at Oxford Falls
Just letting everyone know that the local riders are hosting Clean Up Australia Day focussing on the Oxford Falls DH tracks this Sunday 7th March. More info here: www.cleanupaustraliaday.org.au/Oxfordfalls+Downh...
We will be cleaning up the track areas themselves and also along Morgan Road, which is where most rubbish tends to accumulate through illegal dumping and littering. If you could spend a couple of hrs this Sunday morning to lend a hand it would be greatly appreciated.

Red Hill repeat
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Red Hill Reserve car park, off Lady Penryhn Drive, Beacon Hill. Another option is to ride over here from Oxford Falls.
I'm looking to do a repeat of the Red Hill ride we did last Saturday. We'll attempt to cover all of the main trails up there as well as anything else of interest, the main ride will be basically this :
Main trail -> single track -> rim ride -> down to the sports centre -> back up the sand pit -> across the top -> downhill track -> along the parkway -> back up the 4wd track to the top -> main trail back to the start.
All of this is entirely rideable and the downhill track has A,B,C,D lines so, yes you CAN ride it on almost anything.

Manly Dam 2 Laps
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
King Street (near corner with Arana Street), Manly Vale. You know - outside Manly Hydraulics Lab.
I intend on stopping at the Dam on the way home. My intention is to do 2 laps before last light so no lights will be required. This isn't a training ride and we can stop and play on sections if anyone wants to although we are slowly running out if light

Mt. Buller Victoria Trails
Planning a visit to Mt.Buller
Does anyone have any local info. about trails ,riding and accomodation ?

BUGGER!
just before the start i used a screw on type track pump to check my pressure and concequently unscrewed my valve out when taking it off, after a bit of a panic and a borrow of another pump i got the tyre up but had only hand tightened the valve. it was all done in a panic and knew this might be trouble later on.

What light set up?
Ok I know this would have been asked in the past but can't easily find the thread!
I am looking at getting into a bit of night riding but I am not sure what I will need in terms of lights? I really don’t want to buy some only to think they are not bright enough etc. Would be looking at some of the fire trails around Terry Hills and a trails like the dam etc. Any help would be great. Also have a limited budget..... but saying this I couldn’t see myself making a set.

CCOMTB - Club Race - 2010 Round 2
Due to injury I haven't been training for 2 weeks and it really showed today. I found it hard to keep with the leaders on the first lap and I wasn't enjoying the pace one bit, None the less my HR was often up around 97% so I wasn't slacking off. I made a couple of silly mistakes and was getting a bit loose so I was much happier when I backed off to around 90% HR.

Mt Buller MTB Festival
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Registration area at 7:30am Saturday morning
STAGE 1 – CORN HILL CRANKER:
A 20 - 25km race on the new single track network established around the Mt Buller area with plenty of lung busting climbs, burned descents, snow gums, mountain views and alpine.

Rain guards
Hey guys
Have been pretty fecked off with commuting in all the wet weather we've had over the last month. Even if it's not raining and only the road is wet I still get a constant spray into my face, I wear glasses but they don't stop the rest of me from getting wet. So I'm considering buying a set of guards I can quickly chuck on if I know it's going to be more than a little damp out there.
