Manly Dam update for 02 Dec
I rode it around midday today.
I must have overlooked when it was raining because it was surprisingly wet.
All the puddles were full but the fire trail and most of the track was dry.
It was irritating more than anything.
Worth a ride if you are desperate, but if you are on the fence wait until tomorrow.

Beat The Heat: Duck Holes + Centre Track Newby/Social Early Starter
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Park opposite/beside Terrey Hills shops, corner Booralie Rd/Yulong Ave. Or in the small carpark next to the RFS station & community centre.
With all the hot weather we've been getting, it's time to start getting out a little earlier!
This ride will be at social pace, with time to regroup, take photos of the views, catch your breath, re-do sections if you wish. Distance is about 15km, with some elevation change and a small amount of road riding in the middle. Great views from parts of Centre Track, as advised by Rob.
I haven't ridden Centre Track myself yet, so we can explore together. Come and join us for the best part of the day.

keep off the carvings??????
How this? Went to have a look round the cliffs between Bondi and Tammaramma a few weeks ago to see sculpture by the sea and noticed a deliberate break in the fence where the council encourage people to walk over the top of and have a look at the aboriginal carvings!!! maybe the NPWS should talk to Waverley council?

Great Northern Road
Does anyone the distance starting at the ferry, up Devine's Hill, GNR to Clare's bridge and return via Western Commission track to the ferry?

Trailbuilding Day for the Sydney 24 in Del Rio
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Del Rio Resort is on Riverside Drive, Webbs Creek, NSW.
Juliane and I have been out there twice now to build and scout for a new trail up the hill. I talked to the manager and he promised me that he will clear an old fireroad with his earthmover so we have a bit more trail there.
Now for the hill:
The good news first: J and I were able to cut in a nice new trail that leads around the hill. The 200 or so meters after that should be fairly easy to cut in

Dirtworks Classic 2010
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
St Albans, NSW
The Dirt Works Classic is regarded as one of Australia's most challenging mountain bike endurance races, consistently inspiring all entrants to push their personal boundaries
Now in its fifth year, the course follows the historic Convict Trail through the Dharug and Yengo National Parks. The mix of fast fire trail, technical single track, rocky descents, and spectacular ridgeline views is unmatched by any other MTB event. The Dirt Works Classic starts and finishes in the historic township of St. Albans and competitors can choose between the full "Century of Dirt" and the 50km course.

Cascades & Ryland fun
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
End of Wyatt Ave, Belrose - this is on the East side of Garigal National Park.
Proposed route will be: Wyatt Ave -> short XC -> Technical descent -> Up Quarry -> Along Mona Vale Rd -> Ryland -> Wildflower -> Kitchener St -> Down Cascades -> Bear Creek -> Heath->Wyatt Ave.
That descent is really rather tricky but you could always walk the bits you don't feel confident about.
