Great Northern Road - couple of questions

G'day all,
I was out at the Great North Road around St albans last weekend having a picnic with the family, and have a couple of questions about riding it.
So if anyone can help out please let me know. I was planning on getting the wife to drop me at the top and thn meeting them at Wisemans Ferry.

- How far is it from the top (near Mogo Creek camp area) back down to the Ferry ?

- Coming back down which is the best route to take Devines Hill or Western Commisioners to get back to the ferry ?

Cheers,
Cookie

3 minutes off my 2008 time

Date:
4 Jan 09

Stupidly attempted this at midday (26 degrees), so started to over heat pretty much right away. I know I have easily another minute in me
though so will be back to try again when it cools down.

It's true what they have been saying though, the lap is much faster than it used to be.

Team Toasted Training - Hazelbrook

When:
Sunday, 18 January, 2009 - 08:30

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Meeting Point:

Higgs Place And The Corner Of Railway Parade Hazelbrock.

Show on Google maps: Meeting point. Login or register to get directions.

Hazelbrook Single Track Training.

This is training for the Sydney 24hr and as such the pace will be quick and occasionally fast if you are unfit this ride is not for you but as with all nobmob rides we will wait for the slower riders in the group on the day. This is a great XC ride with nice fast flowing single track and some tricky technical climbing and descents to keep you working hard.

If you want a challenge come and join team toasted on there training ride we will work you hard but you will be smiling all the way.

Getting faster

Date:

Decided to have one more crack at a hot lap before the Yellowmundee GP. Managed to get around even quicker! As usual stopped at the 180 rock platform. Had to stop again due to some woodwork getting caught and mashed-up in my front mech.

Didn't get a GPS record on this one, stupid iPhone decided not to record any data, but my trusty 10 function Torpedo 7 computer kept good time Smiling

Feeling fully pumped for the GP, only 3 more sleeps!

Start/finish = Cnr Gibbs/King

Guess who N+1'd

Guess which Nobmobber got this fancy new XC weapon?
It reportedly weighs in at less than 11kg.

Not mine by the way Smiling

Happy with that

Date:

Went out for a hot lap to burn off some of the xmas excess.
Got to the end and realised I had the propedal lever in the off position for the whole lap!
Look forward to pushing a bit harder and getting it down some more.
