Trip to Rotorua
Hi All,
Is anyone doing a trip to Rotorua in the next little while?
I have a frame over there at Kiwibikes that I would like to get back to Sydney. If some one is willing to pick it up and bring it back for me that would be AWESOME!!! a box of beer can be arranged as payment! (the frame will be boxed up and ready to go)
Please PM.
Cheers
Gav

A 'Real' Mountain Bike Race
*I have entered this blog entry under last years event... as I cannot figure out how to log a new ride for an event that has already been run...*
A last minute spot was available for this event, & with the wife's blessing, I grabbed the chance. The 6 man team was a 'social' ride. We were here to ride, but not push ourselves silly. I had only just (1 day earlier) semi-recovered from the manflu. I had to borrow some LED lights & throw the mattress in the back of the X-Trail. I was looking at buying a good LED, but hadn't purchased one yet.

Manly Dam Questions
Just a quick couple of questions.
1. Is Manly Dam open for night riding? If so, do many people ride the Dam at night?
2. Is there any way to extend any other trails around Manly Dam into the ride to get it close to 20km, with minimal road?

Extra spaces opened up for the 2012 Kanangra Classic
After the sell out success of last years Kanangra Classic, we can announce that we will have an extra 300 spots up for grabs in this years event!
Spaces are filling fast, so if you missed out on a spot last year, now is the time to get your entry in.
For those who don't know about this event, the Kanangra Classic is a great weekend of outdoor recreation held in the beautiful Kanangra Boyd National Park. Located just 146km west of Penrith and approx 30 minutes from the Oberon township the Kanangra Boyd National Park is an iconic part of the greater Blue Mountains.

Kanangra Classic
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Manly Dam update for 21 May
Pretty dry all round. The quagmire is now dry, and the back half of the track is good. There are some puddles leading upto 'Steps' and just after along the rock garden, but all rideable.
