Battery For Lights

Hey All,
I have built myself a set of LED lights for night riding. (2 x Cree XR-E 3W LEDs)
I need to get a decent battery that won't weight me down, but with enough juice to last at least 1.5hrs.
What sort of batteries are you using? and what sort of battery chargers?
Just looking for recommendations.
Thanks

Dam You - or etiquitte

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Coming up to the twin rock step up Sat 7.30 am ( the one near the golf course and just before the rock garden) I caught up to a girl who had a run at the steps - most get the first one - the 2nd one is tricky. Knowing this I didn't bother as I didn't want to crash into her and walked offline to stretch my legs when some guy starts yelling "Get off the track" " I am coming through" and when the girl missed the 2nd step he basically crashed into her.

Dude - she was there first having a go - Put your manners back in!

Manly Dam update for 26 Oct

Area:
Manly Dam
Status:
Amber/Some Issues

Just in from the Ranger:

We are not officially closing the bike trail after rain this time however this email is a quick reminder for riders to keep off the Manly Dam bike trail for a least a few days after rain. We received over 80mm in the last 24 hours, resulting in the track becoming water logged in some places.

The showers are forecast to ease, however we’ll do an assessment later in the week and will advise you if the trail needs to be closed.

The track dries out quickly and the amount of trail damage is dramatically reduced if riders stick to this wet weather 'rule'.

Local authorities to "Stamp out the cyclist problem".

There has to be a good reason for this incident. I'm sure we don't know the full story. Outrageous that solution of local authorities is to install 61 no cycling signs opposed to investing in cycle infrastructure.

Not So New Bike

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

This is the Jekyll after a couple of upgrades:
* 2009 Lefty push-button lockout 130mm travel air fork
* Manitou Swinger 3-way air shock
* DMR 31.8mm bars and matchng stem
* Bontrager tubeless conversion to the Mavic XM117 wheelset for general trail use
* Maxxis Ignitor 2.35s UST.

Rest of componentry is stock:
XT rear derailleur
LX front derailleur
LX dual-control shifters and hydraulic brakes
Truvativ crank

Much prefer dual-control. Much easier to work with, and shifting and braking at the same time is quite intuitive, safe and easy.
