Saturday Morning Training
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Glenbrook Station Carpark
This is a hard and fast training ride starting at 6.00am sharp for a quick up and down the Oaks before the day starts. There will be no stopping or waiting at all apart from toilet breaks if needed. The pace will be moderate to fast with an estimated overall time from the carpark at Glenbrook to the top gate at Woodford and back to the carpark of 3 hours.
The route will be the standard Oaks up and back with the fun sniggle at the end there are no detours or side trips of the main trail planned for this ride.

Bairne Track - what next for a starter???
Being reasonably new to MTB I found some info on Bairne track on this site and did the ride last Sunday: great fun for a beginner. I also did Soldiers Point and only about 200m of Portuguese as I was'nt sure how far down this went, roughly how long does it take to do Portuguese back to the main track? Also, what other tracks in the area can anyone recommend that are a bit more technical than Soldiers point ie: the next level up without wrapping myself around a tree!

Bigger Hill Fest
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Park opposite/beside Terrey Hills shops, corner Booralie Rd/Yulong Ave. Or in the small carpark next to the RFS station & community centre.
After the success of the shortened hill fest yesterday, and with 2 weeks to the doctor, bring on the stupidity!
This is billed as a training ride so there will be minimal stops. Please do not show up unless you can do this distance, or at least ride fast until one of the bail out points. If that's your plan be prepared to gracefully bow out somewhere along the route if you are struggling.
So, the route will be the following hilly goodness:

Barrington Tops
Hello Again,
Ok, so I thought I'd start a new thread for this one (if you read about the roof racks) Anyway, I just read up a bit on Barrington Tops. Does anyone know if there is singletrack out there or if it is all fire trail? I believe we might be staying to the southeast of the park so I want to be sure it will be worth going the extra distance!
Thanks,
Maria

Oaks Up & Back Profile
This was the first time I had done the Oaks Up & Back. When we arrived at the first gate (start of single track) on the way up I wasn't feeling the best. I knew it was going to be a hard ride and I wasn't wrong as I was already stuffed. I pushed on and with one stop at the helipad and then to the top. I actually thought the group would have started descending before I made it. I arrived with time to down a Gu stretch and we were off again.
