Hi,

Bring on the regular night ride! Get rid of the mid week stresses.. It does for me... don't know about anyone else Eye-wink

For those of you who don't know about the ride read on, for those of you that do ....well its the same details:
We generally do about 27kms about 16-18km/hr, the firetrail is fairly flat and there are some cunning sand patches in there. Last week there was about 10 of us out there and even one guy on a DH rig (nice!) Afterwards we usually hang out at the pub for a while... If you're last we won't leave you behind.

Well I wanted to do the Oaks before Andrew's night ride there. Also I can't do Carlgroover's Mid Mountain tour on Aug 12 as I have the City 2 Surf.

I will be catching the 9:23 train from Glenbrook up to Hazelbrook. If this is too late then I can move the start time forward.

We'll be doing some singletrack and then the Oaks.

I know the boys who had a day last week on the big bikes would like to go back to oxford falls downhill. I thought it would be good to organise a ride for the people who fancied a cross country blast around the, well? Cross country course! Then meet up with the guys on the other ride(and by guys I mean men and women) for some photo ops and a bit of a laugh down the downhill course. I'll even lend my bike to anyone who wants a blast!

Oaks at night with anderson's beforehand - cancelled

When:
Saturday, 15 September, 2007 - 15:00
Ride Database Entry:
The Oaks

Due to injuries and equipment malfunctions this ride is postponed. Although I'm up for a local ride in the arvo.

Hi All,

That ride diary is very full! So I'd better post this one for the diaries...

As discussed:

The aim is to hit the oaks / helipad at dusk. Therefore one lot of us will probably start the Anderson's track about a few hours beforehand and if you want to we can meet up with you at Woodford station and then do the oaks. Well get some proper times up closer to the date

Good lights are essential.

When:
Wednesday, 1 August, 2007 - 19:16
Meeting Point:

Terry Hills Tavern

*** Update 30/7 ***

Just had a fun weekend of moving house and no play. I haven't had a chance to go back to Lane Cove - I actually used to do this track heaps before I met the NoBMob. So we will do Terry Hills and then I'll promise to do Lane Cove this sunday. If you're interested in a Sat 4th or Sun 5th Aug morning tour let me know All I wanted to do was to check out the end of one section of this track to see that the fallen trees were removed cause without this section it's an ordinary trail.

Mid mountain tour

When:
Sunday, 12 August, 2007 - 09:30
Meeting Point:

Woodford train station on the south side, funnily enough called Railway parade

Railway parade Woodford 2778

There is a few tracks in this area that any warm blooded Mtbiker should enjoy, ranging from Woodford to Lawson there is some fun/steep fire roads including Terrace falls that most won't have ridden and a fair bit of exciting single track. The ride is mostly XC style rather than all mountain so expert bike skills are not required but up the pace a little and it's a lot of fun.
The ride time is very flexible as we won't be too far from a train station most of the time and I'll ride all day for those that wish to
See you there John Smiling
