Ortlieb products no longer available from Wiggle
I happened to notice on Wiggle last week that their usual fine stock of Ortlieb products had suddenly disappeared. I received an email response to my question about this stating that Wiggle is no longer able to ship Ortlieb to Australia for "... legal reasons... " They are still selling Ortlieb within the UK, so it would be possible to re-direct them with a 3PL.
If anyone happens to come across the next best priced store for Ortlieb products please share this on the forum (that doesn't involve a 3PL).

Ourimbah XC maintenance
Hi Folks,
Feel like some cross training? Feel the urge to give back to the trails we love to ride? This Sunday there is a maintenance day planned to tackle the critical issues, the entry to the drop off and the top of roller coaster. Yes there are more issues to deal with and they are on the agenda. More hands means more work will get done.
Sunday 8am onward, till as long as you like!
Bring any of the following, wheelbarrow, shovel, steel rake, your bike, water, gloves and some elbow grease.
Cheers
Rob

whats your favourite "train track"?
Hi everyone
looking for ideas. let me know where your favourite single/tech track is that you can reach by taking the train system in sydney. Im in crows nest and took the train to Woodford the other day to do the "Oaks Trail" . fairly long journey but worth it (love the swim at the end). would like to hear your ideas. cheers Rich.
Glenrock . Tuesday or and Sunday . 6:00pm . @ Fernleigh Track entrance to Link Trail . following trail marked dark green .
I liked the dodgy De Luge trail and would also consider starting from there, but as i'm new to the mountains of Glenrock and found that De Luge started in a strange place and not sure if others would know the depot entrance to De Luge, i would say the subject idea is the best place to start.
I'm open for spontaneous mapping if i can get a large enough group together.
Hope to see someone there.
Nutrition leading up to a long race.
Guys looks like I've been roped into Capitol Punishment.
What's the general consensus about what to eat leading up to and just prior to an event like this...and indeed during.

Securing bikes in the garage
We are getting a garage built at the moment, and the Mrs has basically said once it's done, the bikes are out of the house!
So with all these stories of bikes being pinched from Garages, I'm looking for some method of securing the bikes inside the garage.
Can anyone recommend a product? I'm thinking some sort of steel rail or hoop which can be dynabolted or concreted to the floor. I would then attach the bikes to this with a couple of D locks.
Tyre pressure and Planes??
I'm off to Rotorua next week for some fun, just a little excited !!!!!!
I know I need to let pressure out of shock and fork though how much do you need to let out in the tyres, I run UST at about 27ish psi.
Do I need to completly deflate or is there a certain pressure they can be let down to safely travel??
Cheers Sam
Introduction from local rider(s)
Quick G'day from a couple of local riders.
Recently purchased a new MTB with intention of getting back amongst it. The gf bought one too.
Living in Freshwater.
So if you see a couple cruising along on Anthem 29ers, say g'day.
History...
- Started in 1990 on rigid 'Dodsun' with thumbshifters.
- Then built up Diamondback (91/92?), very first XT rapidfire / nukeproof carbon hubs / 737 SPDs / Ti flatbar / Girvin flexstem... & Purple QR's!
- Rode Diamondback to death (well, not really - I still have it).
- Remember Yarramundi back when it was just a baby.
Karri cup - demo Giant Anthem 29er
Competed in my first Karri Cup over the weekend and also did my first event on a 29er that Midland Cycles kindly let me borrow leading it to it. All I can say is wow what a machine, the bike ate up the single track and then flew along the flats at a speed that felt like I was on a road bike ( that second stage was QUICK).
If anyone out there is thinking of making the change I'm taking the bike back this week (once its had a good tub) and I'm sure Mark will be happy to let it go out again.
New shocks required
I am a newby to the MTB world. Please go easy on me
I have a 2012 Scott Aspect sport 29er which I crashed on the weekend. I needs a new front wheel and shocks so far. I dont want to spend big money on shocks and a wheel as the bike only cost me $900.
I have found some Manitou 100mm travel forks for about $200 or a pair of rock shox for the same money, which brand would be better? What should I expect to pay for a wheel/rim? It has Araya DS-700 Disc, 32H

mont rider needed for 4 man team

Something to do when the trails are wet?
Bike rack
Hi guys,
Thinking to buy a bike rack to put on my car (Honda H-RV)
The upper part where you attach the straps onto the car is glass… bit worry that it could break it.
See this image: http://image.cellbazaar.com/images/568484ee-0272...
Do you think it's ok?
What do you think of this rack? http://www.cellbikes.com.au/Allen-Folding-2-Bike...

Yellomundee Effected by Flooding?
I noticed that the Yarramundi Bridge was closed due to flooding so I was just wondering if the Yellomundee track has been effected at all? I know it's fairly close to the river but has the water risen enough to cause concern?
Who is running normal Maxxis folding tyres, tubless?
Just got my new 29er wheelset. Hope hubs / No Tube Arch rims. Want to run some normal Maxxis folding tyres, tubless.
Has anyone had any problems doing this? Tyres "burping of rims" what sort of pressures should be run.
Cheers

And he wasn't this truck drivers only target...

Tune options on Fox RP23??
I'm thinking of upgrading the rear shock on my bike to a Fox RP23. Do these come in different compression tunes like the Rockshox Monarchs? Also the shock size on the bike is 7.5 x 1.75. the new one would be 7.5 x 2 so the stroke is 5mm more. would this make any difference?
Thanks
Alan
UNE 12 hour - Armidale
Who wants to ride some dry tracks? The UNE 12 hour is on in one weeks time up in Armidale. Great tracks that have had no rain and lots of trail fairies hard at work. http://www.nemtb.com.au/news/theresstilltimetoge...
Ps - 'a day on the green' is on at the same time for any better halves that would prefer music in the vines instead.

Fundraising in Convict 100, 2012
Hey guys (and gals?) I'm competing in Convict 100 this year (Dirtworks) for the first time. But then again, I'm only 18, so really it has to be my first time!
Anyway, this year, I'm doing it in attempt to raise money for the Salvation Army, and hoping to raise $5 per kilometre I ride. As it's actually 104km, my goal is to raise $520 this year.
My fundraising page can be seen here: http://www.everydayhero.com.au/tristan_white
