NAB spams private blogs

I'm re-posting this as it affects all of us with an internet presence (which is probably all of us!). Should commercial interests decide this is a good idea.

Cherrybrook to Dural crossing?

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Anybody know how to cross from the hills of Cherrybrook down through the gully and up to the plateau Dural is on (Quarry Road) without having to go down to New Line Road? Hoping to link it up for a large loop that includes Quarry Road. Staying off Great North Walk.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=Australi...

See those houses on that unsealed fork. They are at the bottom on the Dural side of the creek I think. If I can get to that road from Cherrybrook (through the bush) that will do it.

Manly Dam Open

Just got this mail from Nicole. I find it odd to be honest, and reckon the Dam will be a bog, but the official word is...

Could you guys please spread this email around your mtb email contacts advising that Manly Dam will be open for riding this weekend? I have a feeling that they wont get the email sent out before the weekend.

Thanks

Nicole

What do you do for a job

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

This comes from a discussion that we had at Terrey Hills Tavern over a beer last night.
My Job is to preserve animals(previously i worked on human bodies) by removing the fat and water from the specimen and replacing it with silicone rubber. You end up with a firm dry specimen that can be handled. it looks and feels a lot like a plastic object but it is the real thing. Examples see here:

The Rollers

Has anybody used rollers for training and if so how did you like them, I thought they may be good as you still have to keep your balance, so may be less boring. I also wondered if they would be noisy. Torpedo7 has a special on them now.
