Looks like new stock might be arriving soon... Running out old stock?
What would you say?
Hi all
If you had a meeting with the State Government and Sydney Northern Region Councils what specific things would you ask about or what ideas would you put forward?
TrailCare has these contacts or already has meetings scheduled. What would you like us to discuss?
Things like more trails are obvious and generic. What specific things do you want to put forward?
Has anyone had a ride of the pump track on Munibung Hill
Runs really well, super fun
Can a cheap power meter be a good power meter?
Been thinking of structuring my training for a while now and maybe getting a coach to take it to the next level but have been put off by the price of power meters.
Then i came across this,

Surely, even if it's not completely accurate, as long as it stays in a constant state of innacuracy it should do the trick???
Your thoughts please?

Lapierre and RockShox launch auto-adjust suspension
Apparently senses fork movements and combines that with speedo and cadence inputs to adjust shock damping

Manly Dam for beginners
Hi team. I am a relative novice however been riding for a few years. Been doing perimeter, long track, cascades as I live in Belrose. never yet tacked Manly Dam - have no idea why not!!!
Advice please - is the track route easy enbough to "find my own way" or is it best to get led through for the first time by soemone who knows the way? If so is anyone planning to do manly dam in the next few weeks that I can join in?

Kurrajong
What happen to the Kurrajong MTB Park?
I found on the National Series website that an event was scheduled there last January. But then when googling, the only details I can found is an old post from 2008: http://nobmob.com/node/1652.

Newbie on the forum
Hi Guys,
Newbie on the forum, recently found it searching the web.
Looks like there is a few locals on here, I'm from Yellow Rock and go for a spin a few times a month with the father in law and keen to meetup for a few more rides. I ride a Merida 120 dually but looking for an upgrade soon if the missus lets me haha.
Is any one going out this Saturday or Sunday morning any where local?
cheers,
Mark
Further afield
With the tracks around Sydney still pretty damp - I got up at about 6.30 on Sunday morning and headed out to Wisemans Ferry for a spin up the Northern Road. It only takes about an hour to get there early in the morning. Down at the carpark was misty and 3 degrees so shivered myself over the river on the ferry. There's nothing that quite describes these mornings out there - as you ride up the first hill and slowly break out of the mist - then as you reach the gate at the top the sun hits you - the fingers have just got feeling back in them and you are totally pumped for the rest of the ride.
Anyone use bike exchange?
I've got some bikes to sell and am wondering if anyone uses bikeexchange? Not much point in paying for listings if people aren't aware of it...
Thanks
Singleton MTB Track Conditions
Heading to Singleton tomorrow anyone know what the track conditions are like? Heard there was some rain overnight but the weather today was nice and sunny.
What app did you use to create and tag your maps
Hi Guys
Just wondering what app you used to create and tag your maps.

MTB Skills Vids
I stumbled across an interesting skills vid series by Fabien Barel a few days ago.
Here is the one on cornering. I'm not sure i like the idea of skidding on trails outside organised events, but the approach to "making your shape" on the bike to engage the tyres' side knobs looks like it has some merit... just gotta practice. Might make a trip to Golden Jubilee for an hour on Saturday arvo
Pinkbike… ?
Is Pinbike a website only about DH? Seems that all the videos are about downhill.
No offence to that part of the sport, but XC is so much more elegant to watch!

Please support us! Warringah Council meeting
Hi all
We need support at Warringah Council chambers 6pm Tuesday 26 for Dirt Jumps.
Even if this is not your thing please show these guys some love. They are a great crew who ride and support other disciplines too. Many have helped us massively so far at TraiCare for Red Hill and Oxy, Pittwater.....
This follows on from meetings with Council about Freedom where riders agreed to work towards finding a better site.
At the moment Dave M is pencilled in for speaking on behalf of riders.
Please come and make some noise of support to show Councillors how much we need this.

Parramatta Park
Hey Guys
Im out Castle Hill way on Saturday and I've been looking around for places to ride out there.
One of the guys at work recommended
Fred Caterson (aka FredCat) reserve
I notice here on Nobmob that Parramatta park has a good track however the guy at work thought that it was now only paved path. Can anyone confirm the MTB trails still exist, are open and worth the ride?
Cheers
LCNP
Anybody ventured in over the last day or so? I imagine it's still pretty wet (water running over the road in various places on the tar bit between Ryde Rd and the weir on Sunday), but maybe I'm just being pessimistic??
cranks
i entered the 50/50 race on the weekend in perth training as usally before the event feeling confident on beating last years time only to come in 25min behind it.reason for this is obvious if i try & turn the cranks they feel extreamly dry & dont spin freely backwards my Q.is it a minor or a major fix...
2 days riding at Taree Tip Trails.
Was at the Taree Tip Trails last week finalising course for Brownie Points Burner 2012 and rode the new Convict Trail with Bruce and Dave from the club. Its a Rotorua style classic. We shall be riding that trail and a bunch of other local trails in 2 days of MTB escape Sept 22.

'Knocking' noise - full suspension
My Scott Genuis has developed a knocking noise from the rear end. It only happens on the trails and seems worse when the suspension is in full travel mode (it's quite infrequent when the shock is locked out).
When the shock was serviced it had new bushes and bolts installed. I have also check the bottom bracket, greased the seatpost, checked the pedals, brake rotors, cassette etc. I cannot recreate the 'knock' by shaking the bike, lifting the rear end up (as you would expect with a shock mount problem).
