Wingello State Forest update for 22 Apr

We rode around Wingello yesterday (Sat 21/4). The first half of the red loop is in fantastic condition. It’s a bit dusty as there hasn’t been much rain recently.
However, the second half of the red loop is closed after recent hazard reduction burning. The detour is well signposted, but it takes you pretty much back to the carpark and you miss out most of the second half. We spoke to someone who said that the closed section had over a dozen trees down across the track - and probably the chance of more tree falls if it’s windy.
Yellow loop is also closed, but blue loop and some of the other new loops are still open.
