Those 2 pinch flats I had on the same loop
Strangely my tubeless tyres don't seem so afflicted!
Phil, for heavens sake... go tubeless already. At the speed you ride you'll end up doing 10 extra laps of the dam a year in the time you save patching and changing tubes.
+1 to tubeless. I've had one "flat" in 12 months, and even then the sealant slowed the airloss enough for a 30 minute ride back to base.
To be honest they were the first flats I've had this year. I was testing my new superlight race tyres for the Fling. Better to get flats on the Dam rather than 20km in to the Fling I say and at least now I know to run them at a higher pressure.
