Brilliant... Got out at lunch for a ride... Might not be Manly Dam but hitting this twice a week should get the fitness up.

Track is all good to ride... Very sandy though

Did you find the sniggle alone Mona Vale Road? The bit on crown land? Gotta be done if you're in the area.

I mean this bit... make a firetrail loop just to the North:

What's the best way to come back? I popped onto mona vale rd half way along to ride back. If I go to the end is there a loop back?

I find that loop best ridden anti-clockwise.
Head down Ryland, take the first branch to the left, ride down to the electricity tower and the start of the single track behind the gun club. Watch out here as it is always wet and muddy in patches...
Come out at St Ives showground and head towards Mona Vale Rd and rejoin the single track (near mobile phone tower). Follow this alongside MV road. It will cross the access road to the gun club and continues through the long grass and eventually brings you out near another electricity tower close to the start of Ryland.
