If I hadn't have been up there this morning I wouldn't have believed this status. No way did I think we had this much rain.
Going to take ages to get the clay from first quarry off my bike.
that bloody clay out of my pedals-would not wash out!-will wait till it fully dries then pick it out.
Got it out of my pedals, it is well set in amongst my cleats though.
Rode in the arvo (didn't see status) only problem area was the new trails the rest was sweet even bailys was dry
Didn't get to baileys, my drive side BB cup came loose well before then.
Your right about that clay though it is like glue ...would riding on that surface hurt the trail that much or would it help to pack it down?
Think it would be packing that much as most of it is sticking to your tyres, but we sure did need the rain and that would do it heaps of good.
Pretty sure the bits we rode we unpacked the clay and took it home with us.
Good riding coming up in a day or two if it dries out.
It bucketed down all night here so i can confidently say the trails will be far to wet to ride today
A good warm day will see it all good. That clay will pack down when it is tacky not
wet.
The rain was needed, could have come mid week though. End of the day, the new stuff will pack in nicely.
Might have to attempt a mid week spin.
that's out now is doing its job!-I'm off for a quick cycleway ride to spin the legs
