far to many cars in tha car park today. bit of a shame really
damned if ya do/damned if ya don't , such as a couple of weeks ago when it had rained the night before so I stayed away only to find out it had hardly caused any problems.Anyway I used ride as research to see where we need to rock armour & place drainage on trails.
Rode late yesterday arvo and it was pretty good, few soft spots but not many puddles. Should be good today after this wind overnight.
We had a bit of rain overnight but strong winds and sun today might have dried it up. Or am I just being a big crazy dreamer?
Just a few puddles. Go for it.
Thanks Empy. Just have to say that this forum is absolutely awesome when it comes to keeping everyone up to date with the latest track conditions. It is a credit to you and the other guys who are constantly posting updates and keeping the rest of us informed about all things Grock related, not to mention the mindblowing stuff you are doing with track building and maintenance. Really appreciated mate. Thanks.
Shame we can't control the weather, notice straight after my last post it rained again, D'oh!
i'll be going up for a walk in the morning
Haha, yeah I was about half an hour in when it started to bucket down. Quickly became greasy so I headed out onto Fernleigh Track. Before the rain came most of the trails were pretty good. Stayed away from Kennys and Baileys. The top part of Black Boy was a bit greasy and some of Big Dipper was the same. The quarries were pretty boggy and there was a lot of standing water on the new jump park...what is that called? Snakes and Ladders was fine. Twisties and Dip fine. Bamboo fine. All the fire trails were good.
full day of sun and wind will clear up the greasy bits, puddles in the usual places
