Official closure from The Rangers
Good afternoon mountain bikers,
Please be advised that due to extremely wet conditions (over 90mm of rain in 48hrs), the Manly Dam mountain bike track will be CLOSED until further notice. Due to continuing rain and the high water content of the surrounding landscape, we anticipate the track will remain closed until at least next week. We will provide an update next Tuesday and/or advise once conditions allow the track to be re-opened.

Anyone seen the dam and it's condition?
But it rained in Willoughby today, so I am guessing it will be wet still.
My guess is, it wont be rideable for maybe a week.
Lots of seepage still evident in the streets up-slope from the Dam at Frenchs Forest East. If the rain forecast for Wednesday happens it will probably be closed next weekend as well.
If you're making plans for a ride, Yellomundi might be the place to go on Sunday.

We have just completed an inspection of the Manly Dam mountain bike track and wish to advise that the track will remain CLOSED until further notice.
The recent 60 year + record rainfall has had a significant impact on the track. Despite closure signage, email, twitter and website updates, riders continue to use the track, contributing to further damage. If you aware of any riders using the track please pass along our message that the track is closed – this will help to give the track a chance to recover.
We will provide another update Thursday afternoon.

I can't believe people are still riding the track.
I've seen them ride up to the sign, read it carefully ... and keep going.
Would love to see some rangers out issuing fines.
