Terrey Hills update for 23 Dec

Very dry, sandy in spots. The pinch climb towards the end of Long was pretty much impassable trying to climb it - much too loose even for a 29er. Lots of traffic today on the trail this morning.
Caught up with spindog on the way back, trying out his brand new 29er.
Wildlife report: Lots of wallabies about. No Black Flash in evidence, though, so they were denied a bit of target practice . A few goannas, and brightly coloured parrot back at the RFS car park.
Lowlife report: a couple of bogans in a white japanese ute were yelling inintelligible insults at every cyclist they passed on Forest Way. It must be mating season - there seem to have been unusual numbers of these about the last few days.

Due to a back injury I have been unable to ride/train now for about 4 weeks....and looks like will be a while yet. So to add salt to my injury I check out the posts in NSWMTB evey day....I think it just keeps me motivated and hopeful that I will be back up there soon!
