Lane Cove National Park update for 19 Aug
Area:
Lane Cove National Park
Status:
Green/Open Rode through from De Burgh's bridge to the top of Devlins Ck track today. Still a couple of spots where there is water running across the track, but there is virtually no standing water or mud holes at the moment. Saw my first snake of the season (it's still winter!) near the picnic table at Brown's Waterhole on the way back.

Black Snake Lach? It's funny, I was walking through the bush in Lane Cove with my two boys about a week ago, and I warned them that with this unseasonably warm weather, there was a good chance we would see a snake. We didn't see one, but I thought they would be around.
yeah, red-bellied black. Still pretty sluggish at this time of year, but a reasonable 5 footer.
