Thoughts on riding here this weekend?

I went for a run up there yesterday arvo and it was ridiculously bad. Can't see it being right for the weekend Sad

Place is saturated from recent heavy rain. long pools of deep water covering entire trails in parts for up to 15m. Needs time to allow for water to drain away.

I know where I tend to find most of the long term puddles at Red Hill. I've made a couple of (admittedly pretty pathetic) attempts to drain them when I've found them on rides but to little effect

For those who ride there regularly, how practical might it be to put some drainage work in to both empty the puddles but also make it harder for them to form.

Granted not all of them will be possible but surely some of them could?

I'd be happy to head up there one weekend or after work to do some digging and rock work.

Thoughts?

Definitely worth doing.

I'd agree if there were any legitimate MTB trails actually up there, but there's not.

Most of Red Hill is simply just very very very wet when it rains due to the sandstone (i think its called a sandstone wet land?) underneath and would need a lot more work than just a bunch of half assed trail fairy work on the already randomly routed tracks and moto rutted trails.

And even then if you managed to fix anything.. avoiding fines or drawing attention from the local friends of... then the moto's might just tear it up.?
