Manly Dam update for 29 Jun
Very busy and not as dry as I was expecting but certainly green.
Watch out for the new section of trail. The "black" line does need to be hit at speed. As others have mentioned a roll down will catch your drive train and a 1/2 committed crack at a huck could end up in a super man into the bushes. Also if you've watched the video the features fell about twice as big and the landings twice as sketchy when you're out there.
Have fun out there!

First time I've been around the dam for quite a few months. I was struck by how much it's changed. Some of the rooty sections are gnarlier and the start of the couple-of-hundred-metres fire road climb up to the entrance to 19th Hole has a lot more steps in it than I remember. Low pressure and 29er wheels made it very doable though.
I liked the new bits, and took the B line as I wasn't feeling so confident today after being off the bike for over a week with a cold. The B line is still tricky - tight off-camber descending turn to the right definitely earns the Blue rating they've given it.
Good to bump into you and ahein this morning!
I'd only said to Adam 5 minutes before that we should look out for you as you'd posted that you'd be riding. That bit of track we bumped into you on is certainly getting better and better. We'll have to all hook up for a ride soon.
Yeah, that was funny. I bumped into another couple of nobmobbers as well. It sure was busy today, including a couple of newbs riding the Golf Course track the wrong way.
That track we met on certainly is improving. Some bits are developing real flow. I'm needing to use the brakes less and less, although I still managed to shoulder-charge one tree when I came in much too hot and there was a sapling stump sticking up in the middle of the line I'd committed to!
Coming in from the southern cul-de-sac end is challenging. Those rocky climbing obstacles are still a bit beyond me. They looked like fun to ride the other way.
Agree the extension to bantry bay is great fun and a good challenge both ways and I enjoyed the new sections of the dam trail but I think I need to hit it a few more times to perfect the line and speed needed. It was good seeing you and the weight weenie scalpel on the trail
