Manly Dam update for 24 Aug
Area:
Manly Dam
Status:
Red/Closed Still officially closed so please stay away.
I went for a run up near Seaforth Bowling Club and it is still very heavy. Unfortunately a few riders around - I nicely told them the track was closed and they acknowledged this but I could see they were just going to wait until I left. Really annoys me.
Do you have more information?

I'm coming to Sydney tonight and was hoping to ride here tomorrow. Does anyone know if old man's valley is still closed? This post is fairly old. Has it been raining much in Sydney?
Pretty much all singletrack will be closed/saturated/inadvisable to ride. It's been raining consistently for almost 2 weeks, including this morning. Last night, despite being dry and windy most of the day, there was still a lot of standing water and seepage in my street and I am near the upper end of the Dam catchment.
OMV will likely still be closed due to the trails being very soft.
If the weather improves tomorrow I'll be out on the roadie at West Head.
Thanks for the quick reply. It's been sunny out here in Orange the last two weeks
I might hit up something in Lithgow on the way home then
Well, I might hit you up for a guided tour around Kinross. I'm planning a trip out to Orange sometime in September.
Still officially closed. The ground is very heavy around the Seaforth bowling club and the track would be mush. Please stay off and respect the trail.
If the rain stops I'll try to check it out during the week and update if it opens (even if it stops raining now it's unlikely to dry out for a while IMO).
Cheers,
