Surprised.....can't be much wetter than it's been in the past few months.
Yep hard to understand how the dam can be open and Serrrata and Gahnia closed.
I can understand Serrata being closed, there a couple of spots that get muddy.
When Gahina was built they raided the worlds stock piles of rock to armour it so I can understand why it is closed.
Manly Dam track is open but Gahina is closed???? THIS I DONT UNDERSTAND
Unfortunately its stupidity like this that makes people ride closed tracks. The powers that be really must open and close tracks in a proper manor.

"Hey everyone. Great news Serrata and Gahnia are open to ride. NPWS. Website says different but the word from the local rangers are to go and have fun. Have a great day all!
Please pass the word!"

And Gahnia was in perfect nick yesterday arvo, good fun was had with no one around but me.
Closures are still in place. NPWS are reviewing the trails tomorrow to determine if they will be reopened.
Why did they close it again after opening it on Sunday, does anyone know? Anyway like I said Gahnia was in perfect condition, no mud or puddles to be found.
sign was down and it was perfectly dry.... and I suspect it was perfectly dry 5 days ago...
it is the best draining track around... can't understand why it would have been closed
