Scaddens Ridge Road

You have to be careful with some of the entries into Ourimbah XC, it looks like there are connecting tracks to the ridgeline fire trails, but they don't necessarily exist (thanks google) and im not sure how happy some landowners are about having lycra clad bikes scouring the edges of their property for new trails. We did have success connecting this one up however and it seems to be public land - its quite a nice entry into Ourimbah XC tracks with some kms under your belt and gives some fantastic views and is a mad downhill finish on the way back to the car.

There is a good place to park the car on palmdale road on the right, immediately after the creek crossing. The front fence at the learning centre can be skirted behind and then look for the gate going over the creek to the right. The road then takes you through what seems an old quarry before depositing you on a steep uphill climb to get the legs burning early. It connects onto Scadden, which half way along has great views of the valley north east and south through the clearings and then leaves you to jump into the downhill track before the first xc loop.
