Even drier today than yesterday so status is Green.
1. Didn't see the Gibbs Street Butcher Bird this time around, but I heard him yesterday so he is still around: beware!
2. Some more unofficial track modification has happened overnight: there is now a substantial rock under the top step of the last section above the "slippery when wet" timber run to the end of the track. What was a small drop is now a ramp down (leading directly and now more quickly to another small drop onto the timber ramp). The rock is large and well-shaped and was very deliberately put there: why? I cannot understand why anyone would do this.
Do you have more information?

I'll be doing a lap after work today so I'll look out for the 'modification'.
yes ... noticed it last night. it nearly caught me out as I was too busy working out what was different and not paying attention to where I was going. Stopped to have a look at the handiwork - would have taken the fairies a fair bit of effort to put it there.
I think it actually has - or will - make the drop harder cause i suspect the rock may shatter and the narrowness of it will put people in two minds as to which way to go/which line to take.
Pardon my rudeness but why didnt you remove it? or is it far too large to move yourself?
I think we all know when actual trail maintenance has happened and will know the difference between what should and shouldnt be there
Others opinions may differ, but I rode straight over the top of it (don't think my wheel even really touched it).
